Dick Morris appeared on Hannity last night and predicted that Mitt Romney is doing far better than the polls show and will win many of the swing states currently rated as up for grabs. It’s hard to be too pro-Republican for Sean Hannity but even he could not buy Morris’ crackpot analysis.
After running through Morris’ state-by-state predictions, Hannity immediately said, “Why do I look at that and say, ‘That’s great. Overly optimistic to me at this, at this juncture?’ It’s too early to tell, Dick.”
Morris insisted the voters are saying, “We are not going to re-elect this administration.” He went on to say that in this economic climate, “it can’t happen” that any president could get re-elected. Morris even went on to predict that New Jersey would go for Romney. (RealClearPolitics has Obama up by almost 14 points there. RCP also has Obama up 237 to 141 on its electoral map.)
Rather than point out those facts – or note what an awful record Morris has, Hannity asked him to rate the Ryan choice “on a scale of 1-10.”
“8 or 9” Morris told him. He called Ryan “a very strong candidate who will hold his own.”
That’s a direct contradiction of Morris’ previous assessment of Ryan. Less than one week ago, Media Matters noted that Morris posted on his website that Ryan’s position on a Medicare voucher system “would give Obama a really big issue to beat Romney with. So even though I love Paul Ryan, I hope that Romney does not select him.” Media Matters also caught Morris making similar statements on Fox News, too – as well as flip-flops on Mitt Romney.
But Hannity didn’t seem to think he needed to tell any of that to his share of the “we report, you decide” network's viewers. Instead, he let Morris go on to promote candidates in three primaries in Florida.
I keep wondering why Fox News keeps this screwball not only on its payroll but on its airwaves. Does Morris have some goods on a skeleton in Roger Ailes’ closet? Is he somebody’s relative? I report, you decide.
McDonald’s Restaurant-across from News Corporation-would not hire this clown.
I’ve started playing a game called name the logical fallacy (of the Fox commentator). Through which I hope to learn more about logical v fallacious arguments. I’m calling this one: Mind projection fallacy-when one considers the way he sees the world as the way the world really is.
Just as you “insisted” Hillary Clinton wouldn’t win a second term as US Senator from NY — right, lil’ dick?
Either lil’ dick has gotten fungus in the brain from all the ho toes he’s sucked — or he’s gotten ahold of Glenn Beck’s electoral map:
