Gregg Jarrett, who pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after allegedly intoxicated and belligerent behavior following his release from a treatment facility, is back at Fox News.
You may recall that Jarrett was on leave from Fox following his arrest in a Minnesota airport following release from a treatment facility. Part of Jarrett's plea deal involved going back into treatment.
Today, Jarrett posted a video report for FoxNews.com about sending his daughter off to college. In late September, TVNewser noted that Jarrett had started working his way back to Fox with a written column for FoxNews.com. An FNC spokesperson said at the time that Jarrett’s return to the air was still “to be determined at this time.”
While I’m no fan of Jarrett’s, I am glad to see him well and, presumably, having successfully completed his treatment program. Even if that means more emails from him calling me a moron.
As Truman says, he’s always been an unpleasant and belligerent character I have no love for, but even so it’s good that Fox didn’t just cut him loose. It’s also possible that his belligerence was alcohol-fueled, and perhaps a sober Jarrett will be less obnoxious. Not expecting it, but you never know.
Behind-the-scene there is jealousy, envy, backstabbing, large egos, and other crazy crap that runs amok at this overrated network.
The on-air talent work long hours and get very little sleep. Same goes for the amateur producers of these little shows.
If Jarrett was smart he would leave this hellhole when his contract is up, otherwise he will be back on the sauce.
NOTE TO JARRETT
Let us give you a piece of advice. The suits won’t be forgiving the next time around, and you know it. If you value your family, especially your daughter, and your health, you leave this network before it destroys your family and your life.
Stick to a local news station. An ex-employee of Fox News did it, and he is very happy.
