Just a few days after Greta Van Susteren obsessed on the air about African Americans “not accepting” an acquittal of George Zimmerman should the jury verdict be such (as Fox has long been advocating). But that seems to be a one-way concern that only centers on the conduct of black people. Last night, Van Susteren’s substitute, Kimberly Guilfoyle, hosted a guest who announced that if Zimmerman is found guilty, "I would say that would be as politically motivated and racially motivated as the O.J. acquittal.”
Much of the program last night was fair and decent – which was surprising coming from a toady like Guilfoyle, who had already opined before trial that Zimmerman is not guilty. But just as I was about to give her high marks, she brought on Bill Stanton. Stanton has a background in law enforcement and, unlike Guilfoyle, is not an attorney. He was introduced as a “private investigator and former NYPD officer.”
But Stanton didn’t need a little thing like a law degree or a jury or maybe even a trial to arrive at a verdict. He declared:
To sum it all up succinctly, when the investigator said he felt George Zimmerman was telling the truth, goodnight Irene. Case closed for me right there.
… There is enough reasonable doubt that I can’t see this jury coming back with anything but a not guilty verdict.
However, Stanton later acknowledged “We don’t know much” about what actually happened that night.
Stanton is entitled to his opinion and he was probably invited on the show to offer it. But there was absolutely no excuse for him to go the extra mile of fanning the flames of racial divisiveness.
I will tell you, Kimberly, if they come back with a guilty verdict, I would say that would be as politically motivated and racially motivated as the O.J. acquittal. I don’t see a guilty verdict here. The facts aren’t there.
In reality, a real prosecutor, who has repeatedly appeared on Fox to discuss the case, feels there are legitimate grounds for conviction. Furthermore, unlike in the Simpson case, nobody on the Zimmerman jury is African American (five are white, one is Hispanic). But Guilfoyle was back in suck up mode. Rather than challenge Stanton’s gratuitous race baiting, she said melodramatically, “At what point does George Zimmerman lose his right to self-defense?”
As Guilfoyle surely knew, Trayvon Martin also had a right to self defense and much depends on whether he had a reasonable fear for his own life. If so, under Florida law he wasn’t required to try to flee Zimmerman—he was entitled to stand his ground.
But not only did Guilfoyle not mention that, she agreed with Stanton as he made his next racially-inflammatory statement. Suggesting that Al Sharpton should be waving some kind of white flag of “not guilty,” Stanton asked, “Where is he now?”
“Very true,” Guilfoyle said.
I have been arguing that Fox’s pro-Zimmerman bias is not just for the purpose of shoring up viewer sympathy for the defendant but a tactic that positions them to exploit whatever verdict arrives. If Zimmerman is acquitted, Fox can play the race card and crow about how they were proven right, that Zimmerman was the victim of racial politics, a liberal media, etc. that wrongly charged him. If he’s convicted, they can play the race card and belligerently discredit the verdict by yelling that Zimmerman was the victim of racial politics, a liberal media, etc.
In other words, regardless of what happens to Zimmerman, Fox will use him for its own racially divisive purposes and to claim victory for themselves.
This segment only furthered my suspicions.
These cafeteria Catholics are in no position to discuss race, given lawsuits filed against them from former employees for racism and sexism.

African American journalists are less likely to anchor this fraudulent “news” channel. The amateur suits prefer the Nordic airheads currently anchoring the “news.” With the exception of Harris the token.
We feel sorry for minorities who work at this sham “news” channel.
And Fox has made sure that the furthest it can go in this case gets a platform. They know whatever riots happen will have their name on it, and they actually seem proud of that. But please, don’t interrupt the show… I want to see the meltdowns continue as Zimmerman’s case falls apart.
