Yes, Fox News, Politicians Are Talking About Impeaching Obama

Last week, Fox News tried to argue that the threat of impeachment was largely a made-up fundraising stunt by the Democrats (despite pushing it for real just a few weeks before). But today, on Fox News Sunday, Rep. Steve King (R-IA) unequivocally put impeachment on the table.

In a joint interview with King and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Wallace discussed the House Republicans’ vote to sue President Obama. Wallace explicitly pushed King to comment on the issue of impeachment:

WALLACE: White House officials now say  - and they really have been teeing this up – that now it looks like the president will take some major executive action over the course of the summer or right after Labor Day and may even consider deferring the deportations of millions of more illegal immigrants. Congressman King, if he does that, if he goes ahead and unilaterally decides to defer deportations of millions of immigrants, what are you going to do about it?

KING: None of us—none of us want to do the thing that’s left for us as an alternative, but if the president has decided that he simply is not going to enforce any immigration law or at least not against anybody except the felons, which essentially he has done already, this is a broader group of people. I think Congress has to sit down and have a serious look at the rest of this Constitution and that includes that “I” word that we don’t want to say. And I only say that now on this program, because I want to encourage the president, please don’t put America into a constitutional crisis. Please don’t do that. There’s too much at stake in this country to be decided that you can take over the Constitution and write it at will.

WALLACE: But you’re saying that if he were to do that then impeachment would be on the table?

KING: I think then we have to start, sit down and take a look at that. Where would we draw the line otherwise if that’s not enough to bring that about then I don’t know what would be. We’ve never seen anything in this country like a president that I’m going to make up all immigration law that I choose and I’m going to drive this thing regardless of the resistance of Congress. That’s why I pushed so hard to get the DACA language out into this legislation that we just passed. It says, Mr. President you can’t do this. It’s unconstitutional, and you know it.

So here’s what you can expect if and when the House Republicans vote to impeach (and my money says they will, especially if the Republicans take over the Senate): they'll blame President Obama for "making" them do it.

Where King is quoted as saying “that “I” word that we don’t want to say,” the word I thought of was “insane.”

@ Peter Tefft: “Liberals have an impairment, they can’t see a tyrant when they see one. Idiots.”

Actually, we can, Petey.

A tyrant is someone who says things like:

“If this were a dictatorship, it’d be a heck of lot easier — so long as I’m the dictator.”

Refers to himself in ways like:

“I’m the Deciderer.”

And does things like:

- wiretap US citizens without warrants
- out a covert CIA agent for political retribution
- signs a bill that grants himself “special powers” that he can use in “emergencies” that he alone can determine
- and declares himself the “Unitary Executive”

Care to guess who the above refers to, Petey?

The GOP will be in shock when the masses decides to impeach them from office in November.

The third-rate senior producers and producers of this fraudulent “news” network are pushing this topic of impeachment. Based on their mediocre experience in running a news program, some of them should be impeached.

I find it dreadful that that there are Americans that can not see the Marxist/Communist policies of Obama unless these folks are communist. Wouldn’t surprise me. The fact is, Obama is assaulting the Constitution that has given these moron’s their freedoms and liberty and they just don’t get it. Liberty is just not important to them as government interference in their lives. Guess they need to read more of Jefferson, Adams and other founding fathers warnings the like of Obama. Wouldn’t do any good. Liberals have an impairment, they can’t see a tyrant when they see one. Idiots.

Gotta just laugh at the pitiful spin that FOX “news” has been trying to put on this impeachment crap. Daddy “Paste Eater” Doocy’s bogus denial that there’s Republicans/conservatives who are calling for impeachment only serves to highlight the fact the he will say anything no matter what the actual facts show. I noticed that last Thursday (or Wed?) during a Judge Nap segment, he lamely tried to defend his lie by saying something along the lines that what he meant was that he “personally” doesn’t know any conservatives who want impeachment. Oh, so he now wants us to believe that he was only talking about his personal friends and/or colleagues? Bwaaah!

You’d think that, in light of all the past evidence and considering what King said today, FOX “news” would now have to give up this lie that it’s a made up stunt by “only Democrats”. We’ll see how FOX “news” decides to handle it this next week as they cannot in all seriousness keep pushing the “Dem stunt” talking point…or can they?

The lying wanker "Doocy replied, “Brian, to your point about impeachment, only Democrats are talking about it. Republicans, conservatives, not talking about it. Only Democrats. It’s to gin up the base before November.”

Btw, let’s not forget that Allen West was for impeachment before he was against it. LOL!

Two of their instances of so-called “unconstitutional breaches of authority” are based on laws that were upheld by the Supreme court. One of these laws was written and passed by George W. Bush, which makes it even more baffling that they’re so against it being enforced under Obama.

Boehner’s attempt to sue Obama will fail, their impeachment attempt will be remembered for the jokes if they get it, and no- I don’t think they’ll take the senate. In fact, I think they’ll be lucky just to keep the house. Even a lot of the hardcore partisans are saying “I’d rather for for a Dem than help re-elect HIM!”.

If you listen to these wingnut teabaggers screeching about impeachment, you would think that President Obama started a ten-year trillion-dollar war in the Mideast based on blatantly bogus intelligence.

Still waiting for these GOP politicians that aren’t talking about impeaching the President to tell us exactly WHAT charge(s) they wish to impeach him for.

NOTE: BPWB (Being President While Black) is not constitutionally valid grounds for impeachment . . .
