Those white folks at Fox News just can’t understand how actor Danny DeVito could call America a “racist country.” In response, a slew of them mocked and smeared him.
DeVito made his comments in response to the #OscarsSoWhite controversy that has roiled Hollywood. But instead of discussing the actual issue, Fox fastened on an actor’s comments about it and used that as an excuse to attack liberal Hollywood, one of Fox’s favorite targets.
Raw Story caught two Fox & Friends cohosts at it this morning:
In a teaser, Brian Kilmeade said, “Danny DeVito’s only 4’11” but he knows what’s wrong with America. Everyone who lives here is racist.”
Taylor Swift’s “Mean” played as he spoke.
Actually, what DeVito said is a bit more nuanced:
"It's unfortunate the entire country is a racist country. So this is one example of the fact that even though some people have given great performances in movies, they weren't even thought about," DeVito told the AP in a video interview at Sundance. "We're living in a country that discriminates and has certain racial tendencies — racist tendencies — so sometimes it manifests in things like this and is illuminated. But generally speaking, we're a bunch of racists."
Cohost Heather Nauert quoted DeVito, then sneered, “Really? Really!” She later added sarcastically, “I guess he forgot about cabinet secretaries being African-American. Oh, the president too!”
This was deemed such an important opportunity to smear a liberal story that The Five discussed it, too – this time with a group of five white cohosts.
ERIC BOLLING: Personally, I can only imagine how many jokes and comments by presenters and awardees this year will bring. Remind me, not to watch. Greg, can you imagine what that awards is going to be like?
GREG GUTFELD: Ugh. He gives short people a bad name. OK, can we - just the little elephant in the room, the tiny elephant in the room is he's high as a kite. I'm sorry the way he was delivering those words, I've been there, I know that. If he had just replaced country with earthlings, he would have been right. Because earthlings are race conscious, we have evolved as creatures to identify likeness as a method of survival. So if that is -- If being race conscious exists, that doesn't make you racist, he's just high.
Even “Democratic strategist” Julie Roginsky, sitting in the liberal chair, joined in calling DeVito's remarks “an absurdly stupid comment to make.”

Nah. Doesn’t have quite the cachet, does it?
As long as the privileged who “think” themselves "white"continue to make their self-imposed guilt the source and focus of any and all discussions as if they individually are being held accountable for a past they were not there for nor could change …even if they were inclined to do so…is the very definition of “white” privilege.
For the sake of humanity and the perfecting of our democracy …WE THE PEOPLE …can be a very powerful and unifying ideal worth fighting and living for!
The answers and fixes WILL come from the Government, institutions and policies of WE THE PEOPLE …working together in-spite of our differences.
Now… with THAT said … too many of these white folks have lost their GD minds ..starting with those folks at Fox and Friends …WFT are they talking about????
