One day after “Democrat” Pat Caddell went on Your World to tout his phony campaign to put Hillary Clinton on the presidential ballot against President Obama, the same show trotted out “Democrat” Doug Wilder, the former governor of Virginia, described by Politico as “often… the Democrat Virginia Republicans love most.” Wilder was there to broadcast his call for Vice President Joe Biden to get off the 2012 ticket after he said, “The Taliban per se is not our enemy.” Neil Cavuto asked Wilder to “explain” why he thinks Biden is a “weak link on this ticket.”
Wilder said, "The gaffes, it's not just a question of will Joe Biden make a gaffe, and incidentally, I like him. Personally, I think he's a fine fellow. But is he the person that you want in place? ..Suppose something would happen to the President? Who would be in charge? Vice President Joe Biden? You've got to be kidding today when you say the Taliban’s not our enemy… Get a hold of yourself, Joe… When you find these gaffes, the question is who is going to be in place of the President in these instances? Last year I said… you'd be surprised, Neil, at the numbers of people who now say, (Obama) ought to make that change, and it's not too late."
Cavuto reacted enthusiastically, though he noted it would be “very unusual.” "What would it take for the president to do something like that?" he asked.
Wilder answered, "I tell you who would make the change… Lyndon Johnson would've done it in a heartbeat if he were placed in this kind of situation.” Later, with a Caddellian flourish, Wilder added, “I wouldn't rule (Hillary Clinton) out at all. To the contrary, I would say she would be preparing to make a run in 2016 for President."
Cavuto picking up the meme said, "You would rather see her, and think the Democrats chances are better with her as the number two on the ticket than Joe Biden."
Wilder said, "I think unquestionably that is the case, and I think polls might even suggest that… I can tell you a whole lot of Democrats feel somewhat the same as I do."
Comment: What polls, Governor? What Democrats feel that way, Governor? This is another Fox News attempt to stir the pot to try to break up the Obama-Biden ticket.
Well now, Kneel and Doug . . . neither of you seem bothered by the gaffes and WTF statements of Rick “Helmethair” Perry, Michele Bachmann, Mitt Romney, or Ron Paul . . . so, no need to be bothered by this.
