Fox News and Donald Trump are getting divorced. Trump was not happy at being targeted in Fox’s debate last night and, predictably, he’s not holding back. He called Fox's Megyn Kelly a “bimbo” and Frank Luntz a “slob.”
In addition to Kelly’s “Megyn Moderator Moment” of confronting Trump in a debate question about having called women “fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals,” (which nobody should be fooled into thinking represented her “independence” from Fox), a Kelly File show immediately following the debate showcased a Frank Luntz focus group “overwhelmingly turned off by Trump at GOP debate.” That was the headline of a Fox News Insider post, not my description. By the way, we have previously found some fishy goings-on with Luntz’ focus groups and that he has deceptively deceptively skewed their makeup.
According to BuzzFeed, Trump told reporters after the debate, “(T)he questions to me were not nice, I didn’t think they were appropriate, and I think Megyn behaved very badly personally.”
Later, Trump took to Twitter where he attacked Kelly as a “bimbo” in a retweet and calling her “totally overrated and angry” in another tweet.
On Fox & Friends this morning, The Donald went after Luntz. “This slob that you have on your show, what’s his name? He does the focus groups,” Trump said.
Cohost Brian Kilmeade defended his colleague, saying, “Listen, he’s not a slob, he’s a good guy, Frank Luntz.”
“I don’t like him,” Trump retorted.
Later, after Trump complained that debate moderator Bret Baier’s opening question about running as a third-party candidate was aimed at himself (which it undoubtedly was), cohost Steve Doocy used that as an opportunity to press Trump on the subject again.
But the Fox/Trump divorce is at least somewhat amicable. And it’s quite possible they’ll kiss and make up in the future. Kilmeade ended today’s interview by saying, “We miss you on Mondays,” and Trump saying he misses them, too.
Watch it below, from the August 7 Fox & Friends.
Bill
That’s a shame, Billy; you sound as though you could use the advice of someone more mature.
.
If you’re so bored, Billy, why do you keep replying?
“You lack independent thought and belong right where you are with your arm raised in salute of your master.”
Anyone who thinks Dr. Carson is ready to be the nation’s VP (solely on the basis of his having scolded the POTUS at a prayer breakfast) has no business talking to someone else about “lacking independent thought” . . .
.
This from the one who started his latest blathering with:
“I he to repeat myself for the leading disabled.”
Rightwingnuts: the best unintentional comedians there are . . .
.
I’m not even going to try to understand what the poster is trying to say here. It’s probably just a waste of time, as is the rest of this poster’s statements.
Go away, William. You’re only proving the premise of this site.
LOL — OK, let’s recap:
Carson: no elective office experience
Obama:
- IL State Senate, 1997-2004
- US Senate, 2005-2008
- US President, 2009-present
though I understand why you “can’t see that as a problem”; it’s hard to see anything clearly with your head up your arse.
And Billy, please stop repeating yourself — what you’re saying makes no more sense the second time . . .
.
Jane, friends of “Fox” will side with the network, others like Rusty the Radio Clown, aka, Rush, and Marky will side with Trumpster. Erickson and others are not going to burn their bridges with the Foxies. They won’t risk alienating the suits by attacking the network.
Conservative talkers and commentators who attack the network and the mouthpieces will find themselves on the outs with the suits.
Grab that popcorn! It’s gets worse for the Foxies.
Coming down the pipeline:
1. Fox “News” in a panic
2. The knives are out
3. Hannocchio forced to take sides
4. Billy is disgusted
Damn — it was bad enough Trump couldn’t keep two of his actual marriages together; now he can’t even keep an IDEOLOGICAL one, it seems.
But there’s good news, Donnie: at least this divorce likely won’t cost you as much as the one from Ivana did ($25 million)
@ William Blanke: Don’t you think that it’s about time we had a president who isn’t afraid to tell people like Putin to take a hike?
I dunno, Billy; I’m not sure that’s what Fox sNooze wants, given the numerous times they’ve gushed over Putin — whether it’s during his actions in Syria (http://www.newshounds.us/great_american_hannity_and_buchanan_heart_vladimir_putin_s_syria_actions_09102013), Donald Trump claiming Putin is “clearly the better leader than Obama” (http://www.newshounds.us/donald_trump_gushes_over_vladimir_putin_04142014), or even admiring his riding on horseback while shirtless (http://www.newshounds.us/hannity_mocks_obama_s_fitness_routine_slobbers_over_putin_as_rocky06052014)
.
If so, Megan Kelly better watch out.
Ratings are king. One can only stare up at so many ceilings in life, but ratings equal dollars, and they better stay put or heads will roll at Fox.
Can Donald turn the viewers against the Master?
When it comes to Trump — finally, something the republicans can say, “We built that”.
