Stephen Colbert Mocks Fox’s Blog Sockpuppets

Posted by Ellen -7842.60pc on November 05, 2013 · Flag

Stephen Colbert hosted David Folkenflik last night to discuss his new book, Murdoch’s World: The Last of the Old Media Empires. The book has already made news with its revelation that Fox News employees trolled blogs to counter anything negative that had been written about the network. So before bringing on Folkenflik, Colbert revealed his Twitter strategy to give Fox glowing reviews.

Both segments are below.

Note: I’m in the middle of reading Murdoch’s World and will do a write up when I’m done. But as a sneak preview, let me just say I find it fascinating.

The Fox “News” frauds bow down to Ruthless Rupy. This old sock makes Darth Vader look like a pussycat.

We encourage all the masses to go on television and radio stations, post on blogs and newspapers and remind the world of the hacking scandals.

Tie the scandals to News Corporation’s Board of Directors and investors.

Use this script on tv and radio. You can modify it.

“The News Corporation board of directors must be squirming in their seats right now. They must be watching this trial in the U.K. very closely. This trial could cost News Corporation billions of dollars. If that’s the case, the board could oust Murdoch, who’s in his 80s, and replace him with someone more competent. That could happen.”

“The Fox “News” hosts have been quiet, and I don’t expect any of them to discuss the News International hacking trial in the U.K."

Ruthless needs to go. The tyrant is old and feeble.
