How petty and vindictive can Roger Ailes get? Consider this, via Politico:
An Upstate New York newspaper owned by Fox News president Roger Ailes has cancelled Gabe Sherman's subscription because of his forthcoming book about Ailes and Fox News.
Sherman, a contributing editor at New York magazine, discovered this week that his subscription to the Putnam County News & Recorder, owned by Ailes and run by his wife, had been cancelled. When he called the paper to ask about it, the editor Doug Cunningham told him that because of his forthcoming book, "we don't desire to have a relationship with you."
Sherman noted this in a piece he did yesterday about a newspaper war being waged against Ailes' paper. "Now Roger Ailes, community newspaper baron, is about to find out what it’s like to be the Establishment player facing competition from an upstart insurgent," Sherman wrote.
It’d be funny if some of the PCN&R’s advertisers said the same thing to Ailes . . .
