I'm not sure what I think about Gingrich's win. I still think Romney is the inevitable nominee. I can't say I'm sorry to see him take some knocks. On the other hand, I was hoping Gingrich's little hissy fit would get the reaction it deserved.

Librul Media must be taken off wife support, err, life support. The unholy trinity will push the sheeple into my many folds and I shall reward them with my endless Breakfasts at Tiffany’s.

“I’m not sure what I think about Gingrich’s win. I still think Romney is the inevitable nominee.”
You’re correct, Ellen.
This win by Gingrich was a momentary hiccup.
SC is a state where:
- the confederate flag flies proudly on the capitol building
- one of its recent governors had a high-profile extramarital affair that led to his ouster
- the population has a large number of poor, rural, “salt of the earth” types {aka: idiots}, who’ll desire ANYONE besides that black guy with the funny name in the White House
So, it’s understandable that an ethically-challenged serial adulterer who whines loudly about mistreatment by the press, such as Newt, would play well there.
But the next stop for the GOP Clown Show will be Florida — a state with a large number of wealthy retirees.
Mittens will be in his element there.

The Washington Elite GOP Power Machine does not want The Newt as the GOP nominee, and he knows it. Expect more attacks on the old fool next week.
High End Hannocchio will be helping The Newt by giving him much air time to spew his crazy talking points. Everyone knows Hannocchio supports The Newt, including his audience.

Newt and Mitt both have enough baggage that they’ll be quickly and soundly beaten when the nominee’s decided. Trust me, everything Mitt was lucky enough to have undiscovered in 2008? It’s coming out now. Everything Newt thinks we forgot? We’re being reminded.
Plus the whole “The White Guy’s gonna save us from the black guy!” mentality has a lot of people on the ropes.

So we’ll see what happens. In the end, I just don’t see the Republicans actually nominating Gingrich. I wonder if the attacks will really come on against him now.

I just couldn’t watch Newt’s victory speech. Even I have my limits. :)

Newt definitely has the momentum, but I also expect Mitt to be the nominee in the end.
Mitt’s biggest problem to me seems to be that there is no enthusiasm or excitement from his supporters. They seem to only support him only because he’s not Obama. So far his campaign and support for his candidacy could put a pot of coffee to sleep.

I missed all the fun because I was working all day, but it sure seems that things just can’t get any crazier. To me, it seems that the racial hatred wing of the Republican party has now taken control. The party was always racist behind the scenes, but now they’re just being blatantly obvious…..and proud of it.
If any of the remaining candidates can interest both that wing and the evangelical wing, it may just be a real race for Obama. I always joke about Gingrich/Tebow 2012, but maybe now just a bit nervously.

Ellen: So am I… I know that if Romney threw fits like this, Fox News would have used their influence to force him out of the race.
Well, more of their influence.

I’m wondering how many more hissy fits at the “elite” media Gingrich is going to throw before Republicans get sick of him.
