Neil Cavuto took fear mongering over Ebola to new heights – or lows – yesterday as he announced he will not stay calm because he does not trust the government and the world is probably going to end because of the Ebola virus.
Cavuto closed yesterday’s Your World show with the following “Common Sense” commentary:
Maybe if they weren’t always telling us to stay calm, I would be calm. But I’m not calm because they keep telling me I should be calm, I should stay calm.
Actually, you know, I was calm before they started stressing I should be calm. Now, I don’t know whether it was our sending 3,000 troops to Liberia to help them fight this Ebola thing. Or the parade of health officials commenting in damn near daily press conferences we had nothing to worry about with this Ebola thing.
…Me? I just don’t buy anything they say. Because what they have a history of saying is one thing and what they have a history of doing is another.”
…The assurances that the world won’t end or at least humanity won’t end. I’m telling you, be afraid because none of this ends nicely. Which means the world really will end. If I’m lying, I’m dying. Or is that if they’re lying, we’re all dying?
…Sometimes I forget the crisis, but somehow, no matter what Washington does, I always manage – we always manage – to get sick.”
The reality is that medical experts like Fox’s own Dr. Marc Siegel – hardly a fan of the Obama administration – say that Ebola is hard to spread and we should not panic.
By the way: If Cavuto doesn’t trust the CDC on Ebola, then whom does he trust to deal with it?
If Ebola were such an imminent threat (it’s not!), wouldn’t it be wiser for anyone with a microphone to be calmly advocating that sensible and reasonable steps/precautions be taken (such as BIG Pharma developing an anti-virus) to avoid such a disaster?
These Fox assholes are miserable, arrogant people that are making a conscious effort to destroy our country for their own benefit.
NOTE TO CAVUTO
The employees at this hideous skyscraper carry viruses from public transportation and crowded restaurants during the lunch hour. Everyone is enclosed in an air conditioned building, sneezing and coughing. You will twice as likely catch their viruses. You better quick Fox Business while you can.
Oh my dear sweet dead God, you you fucking kidding me?! The government can’t handle Ebola because the Republicans didn’t get what they wanted on the 2013 sequester threat? And nice revisionism there- The Dems cried the sky is falling, while presenting clips of them talking about the damage that would be caused if the Republican got their way on where to divert the defense cuts.
Try a little reality there, genius. Though I have to admit your impression of Greg Gutfeld mocking Megyn Kelly was sort of funny.
