Neil Cavuto Recovering From Open Heart Surgery

Fox News' Neil Cavuto has undergone successful open heart surgery and has taken an extended leave of absence from Fox News.

From Mediaite:

Fox News and Fox Business host Neil Cavuto has taken an extended leave of absence after undergoing open heart surgery Monday.

Fox issued a statement Tuesday saying Cavuto “came through it with flying colors. Knowing Neil, he’ll be back as soon as he can, but he is slated to return to hosting his three programs on Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network later this year. Everyone here is wishing him a speedy recovery.”

Cavuto has been off the air since May 31.

It's not clear what precipitated the surgery but Cavuto has long struggled with multiple sclerosis and he is also a cancer survivor.

There are times to put aside political and other disagreements and offer unqualified good wishes and this is one of them.

As I wrote in January, after he revealed how MS made moderating a Republican debate so much more difficult, we won't go soft on Cavuto when it comes to bias, distortion or spin. But on a human level, you've got to feel for this guy and cheer him on, eh?

We do and we are. Hope to see you back soon, Mr. Cavuto.

The comments on this site sound like these people are talking about a terrorist of some sort. Wake up people. You are criticizing a great man here. He certainly doesn’t deserve your negative comments.

Another thing, I will give no well wishes to anyone undermining the United States of America.

Faux undermines the best qualities of this great country.

To add on, Wallace had REMORSE. Can you show me one Fauxie that has a bare hint at remorse.

Megyn has a tattoo across her perfect tits that says “Deutschland uber Alles”.

Bemused, one of the most moving moments of contrition in American history, was when George Wallace arrived at the black church unannounced, went to the podium in his wheelchair and asked for forgiveness.

America has many episodic pictures of ugliness, blut that one was beautiful.

That said, I wouldn’t wish death or infirmity on anybody. So “get well quick, Neil”.

I add my voice to mlp!
Governor Wallace was a dispicable racist until someone tried to kill him. During the time in hospital, he gew a soul and became an activist against segretgation. It IS possible, albeit unlikely for someone who’s become dependent on a very big paycheck for being dispicable.

You can transplant a heart, but you can’t add a soul.

We have our differences with Cavuto. However, we wish him good health and a speedy recovery.

I don’t like Cavuto, nor is it right for him to foment hatred with the poison he preaches.
But I’ve had open-heart surgery twice, and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.
Get well, Neil, and most importantly, get smarter.

I happen to like Cavuto. Contrary to others comments I don’t find him to be liberal. He’s a middle of the road kind of business reporter. I don’t wish any ill-will to anyone and know that Cavuto has had problems with MS which does effect the heart. Speedy recovery Neil.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Notice how if this had been a liberal undergoing surgery and the story posted on a conservative forum, the comments would be all about how much they want him to die. I don’t want him to die. I want him to wake up to the fact that he’s a tool of a propaganda network. I understand a paycheck is a paycheck, but your ideology is warped beyond recognition.

If he’s got any sense, he’ll stay out til mid November.

I could not have said it better, wishing him a speedy recovery. So I can get back to the job of telling him what the different between facts and fiction. Get well soon.
