Navy SEAL Says Witnesses To Jesse Ventura Punch “Coming Forward”

Posted by Ellen -7842.60pc on January 13, 2012 · Flag

Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle says “witnesses are coming forward” to corroborate his claim that he decked former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura after anti-war Ventura supposedly told Kyle he “deserve(d) to lose a few guys” at a military wake. As I previously posted, Ventura vehemently and completely denies the account and has demanded a retraction from Fox News. Fox News’ The Five not only cheered Kyle for having (supposedly) punched Ventura, guest co-host Brian Kilmeade called it Kyle’s “greatest takedown ever.” The Five followed up on their original discussion about Kyle with a second one featuring Ventura’s denial but that was treated as nothing more than an occasion to double down on their smears of Ventura. Not one of them expressed an interest in investigating whether or not Kyle’s claim was actually true.

One of Ventura's more persuasive arguments is that had such an incident in a bar happened – with one SEAL decking another who was also a former wrestling champion and the former Governor of Minnesota – it would never have stayed quiet all this time. So it will be interesting to see if Kyle really does bring forth credible witnesses or any other evidence to verify his story.

It will be even more interesting to see how Fox News deals with it. It’s pretty clear that nobody did much fact checking before Ventura came forward with his denial. Otherwise, Kyle’s witnesses would be in place already. In fact, there’s nothing to indicate Fox has done much fact checking after the denial, either. Fox Nation has a brief post about Ventura’s denial with the snarky headline, Jesse Ventura Sings Different Tune About Navy SEAL Knockout, as if Ventura had somehow changed his story.

But something tells me Ventura is not going to let this one go by without a fight. If he’s in the right, it may very well be Fox News that winds up with the black eye.

The local media would have reported this so-call incident at that Irish pub.

Kyle is nothing but a News Corporation book peddler. He needs to drum up hype to sell his cheap little book.

If a former governor, Navy SEAL and top pro wrestler was punched out in a bar by another Navy SEAL after wishing them dead, we would have all heard about six years ago, not last week from a “top sniper” selling a book published by News Corp.

Jeez, TMZ or RadarOnline tells you five minutes after Kim Kardashing farts how stinky it was. A dustup in a bar with an ex-Governor and “top sniper” would probably make CNN and the national news by the next day at the earliest. This Kyle is most likely…….full of shit.

Further….any discussion of this “story” can only lead to one central question: Do we, as Americans, have the right to physically assault people who say things we don’t like?

That’s really all that needs to be discussed. Any other conversation on this topic is pointless and most likely politically motivated.

What kind of bizarro world are we living in where the aggressor in an assault incident is having difficulty proving his own guilt?

D. tRump should investigate. He did such a great job on the Obama birth certificate.

Read Jesse Ventura’s Facebook statement below.

The event this man spoke of never happened. I have been to Mc P’s many times since leaving the Navy. I was never there alone. I was always accompanied by other people. If this happened 6 years ago, someone would have known of it before now. Certainly in the UDT/SEAL community it would have been known. This has to be news to all of us.

I have always opposed the war in Iraq but I have never spoken or wished any ill will towards the soldiers. My heart aches that soldiers have died or been wounded because this war should never have taken place. I am perplexed over the agenda this man has and why a fellow Navy Seal would tell a lie about an event that never happened.

Clearly between this story and the previous week’s story about supposedly getting pulled over for tailgaiting in CA that was also a lie, someone is out to destroy my credibility. I find it very interesting that both these stories are being spread by Fox news and it’s affiliates. As a Navy veteran you realize you can’t believe every sea story you hear. Let me finish by stating both of the recent two national stories about me are completely untrue lies, neither event ever happened.

Goodness, Chris — are you really sure you want this?

Apparently, it hasn’t yet dawned on Kyle that any “witnesses” that do come forward would be potential witnesses for the plaintiff [Ventura] should he decide to sue for the attack Chris Kyle is claiming so vociferously occurred . . .

Kyle’s window for “witnesses” is long past. No one stepped up when he first made this claim, and a sfar as I can tell no one stepped forward to prove they were there and that it happened according to ANY of his accounts since it happened.

I say “any” because Kyle changed parts of his story at least twice. Here’s his original account, compare it to his statements on other shows:

Kyle needs to produce hard evidence- the police report, the military incident review, any and all possible photos/videos… any witnesses he produces now will just be accused of being coached. Especially since he himself immediately went from they ARE stepping forward to they WILL BE stepping forward in the smae breath- that set off my alarm right there.
