Michael Smerconish Destroys Megyn Kelly's 'Stunning New Evidence' On Benghazi

Michael Smerconish didn't just effectively demolish Megyn Kelly's claim that "stunning new evidence" was revealed when Hillary Clinton testified at a Benghazi hearing, he demolished the whole Republican conspiracy theory about Benghazi while he was at it.

Smerconish, a CNN host as well as a Sirius radio host on the POTUS channel, discussed Kelly's laughable histrionics pretending that Clinton's testimony had sizzled, not fizzled, even though Fox had stopped covering it. That was Thursday night. On Friday, Kelly attacked the rest of the media for saying that Clinton had emerged "unscathed" from the 11-hour hearing.

The rebuttal from Smerconish is so comprehensive, so concise and so persuasive, there's not much I can add other than to say it's a must listen. From today's The Michael Smerconish Program.

Sorry, Anita, he packed so much into it, I don’t think I can summarize. But IIRC, he noted that the “stunning new evidence” was not new, that if it was so stunning, why would Fox have cut away from the hearing, that he managed to explain in 11 minutes what the committee took 11 hours to discuss, that Hillary Clinton has already explained the “bombshell,” that the whole “the Obama administration colluded to lie about the causes of the Benghazi attack” is ridiculous because he would have had to have gotten the CIA in on the con. Also, that the committee would have been better off focusing on what he thinks is the real issue, why there wasn’t adequate security.
