Jon Stewart pointed out – with great comedic effect – how “medical advice isn’t really the focus of Fox’s medical experts. They serve a much more important purpose.” You can probably guess what that “more important purpose” might be. Hint: think partisan talking points.
Stewart nailed it when he said: “My point is this, these guys seem less like doctors and more like the shady expert witnesses paid by the defense” to say whatever the person paying them wants them to say.
He got in some good digs at Dr. Marc Siegel, Dr. Ben Carson and Fox’s biggest nutcase, Dr. Keith Ablow.
Enjoy!

I don’t know how Dr.Ablowme has kept his medical license. Or at least been disciplined. Isn’t it unprofessional to diagnose a person without an examination?

People need to remember that when these mopes are on the air they are not practicing medicine, they are just mopes running their mouths to earn a paycheck.

Stewart nails how Fox News doctors serve the "much more important purpose" of using their stature to promote FNC's conservative agenda.

Stewart is of course correct. Those guys aren’t on Fox News for medical expertise. They’re on Fox News to attack President Obama and to provide any talking points they can to support those attacks.
As Bill O’Reilly admitted multiple times during the shutdown, the goal now is to find any possible way to attack the ACA and the Dems and hopefully make some hay out of that in 2014. Except that this assumes that the American people are completely blind to what the GOP has been doing for the past five years. I wouldn’t make that assumption. Of course, the GOP could just shut the government down again during 2014 and see if that helps their chances in the midterms. But I wouldn’t want to be in their shoes after they attempt such an approach…
