Jon Stewart’s Brilliant Takedown Of Fox News’ War On The Poor

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on March 05, 2014 · Flag

Nothing, nothing, nothing could reveal Fox News’ hatred and calculating demonization of the poor better than Jon Stewart’s two segments on the subject last night. And you gotta love Stewart’s new motto for Fox: "We read the chain emails your Grandma gets in her inbox out loud like they were true."

It’s devastatingly funny – at Fox’s expense. But it’s also deeply disturbing. I imagine that’s just what Stewart wanted.

“I agree with you on the insanity thing- I think we just disagree on who’s suffering from it.”

It’s like he can read my mind, because I replied to her with “Yeah, someone in this conversation is nuts.”

Devastatingly funny but also deeply disturbing - probably just how Stewart intended.
