Happy Thanksgiving To All

Here's wishing our extended NewsHounds family a very happy Thanksgiving. I feel so very thankful for having the platform from which we can share our observations and comments on so many subjects. Your thoughtful and informed responses have enriched our blog and meant more to me than I can express. And a happy Hannukah to our Jewish friends and family.

I'm also thankful to be spending a low-key holiday with my family. Last night, we watched two movies back-to-back (The King's Speech and Skyfall). Normally, I don't have the time to watch even one entire movie in a sitting. I'm skipping the turkey and stuffing this afternoon and taking a long walk with my sister instead.

I’m thankful that we have a President who uses diplomacy as the first option to resolving international disputes. If Dumbya and Dickhead were still in charge, we would by now be at war with Libya, Egypt, Syria and Iran.

Personally, I’m thankful for INDEPENDENTLY OWNED media outlets like Newshounds, because in my honest opinion, they are the ABSOLUTE LAST LINE OF DEFENSE against Rupert Murdoch and the RAPIDLY RISING TIDE OF FASCISM (also known as NAZISM) that is an EXTREMELY GRAVE THREAT to freedom as us thinking people know it.
