If you’re Sean Hannity neither rain nor snow nor floods nor massive power outages can stop you from your goal of smearing people you disagree with. While some might see a national emergency like Monster Storm Sandy as a time to come together, Hannity saw it as just another day to hate monger against his political foes.

Coulter was not the only segment last night that Hannity exploited for his divisive purposes. He also hosted the family of a SEAL killed in Benghazi and egged them on to attack President Obama while putting on a show of personal interest in them. Plus, there was Joe Bastardi, the climate change denier up front, setting the stage for discrediting liberals from the get go.

Coulter was there to attack discuss that urgent subject of a new Obama television ad. As she spoke, banners on the screen read, “CON ED: LARGE PORTIONS OF MANHATTAN HAVE LOST POWER,” “WATER CONTINUES TO RISE IN LOWER MANHATTAN,” “MTA: THERE IS WATER IN NYC TUNNELS, SUBWAY STATIONS,” and “PORT AUTHORITY: JFK AIRPORT HAS NOW BEEN CLOSED.”

Instead of keeping their viewers informed about that, Hannity yelled about the Obama ad, “It’s brainwashing!”

Coulter predictably came up with a new round of her childish invective that sounded a lot like an old round of her childish invective: “This is how liberals always – their candidate they always want to have sex with. They have fantasies, Clinton, Gore, Obama, of course… Our candidates are always the enemy… It’s like little girls chasing Justin Bieber… Democrats have a lock on the stupid voters.”

Is there anything so special about this dialogue that it couldn’t wait until New Yorkers were safe and sound? Only if you think smearing Democrats and liberals is the most important priority for our country no matter what.
