Geraldo Rivera all but admitted that presidential candidate, Donald Trump, and Fox News are part of one big Republican family.
In a Hannity discussion about Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Fox News presidential debate tomorrow, host Sean Hannity expressed disappointment and dismay. He said he’s given Trump “fair time,” just as “every other candidate got.” Actually, Trump has gotten way more airtime than any other candidate, both on Hannity and just about every other Fox News show except The Kelly File, Special Report and Fox News Sunday. In short, Media Matters crunched the numbers and came up with nearly $30 million in free Fox airtime given to Trump.
“Why would he expect that he gets to pick and choose who the moderators in a debate format are gonna be?” Hannity asked.
Well, maybe because Trump got National Review booted from a CNN debate after it aired its “Against Trump” issue. And the CNN partnership came about after the RNC dumped NBC for being too biased. Not only did Hannity not object to that "picking and choosing" of moderators that worked against NBC, he wanted himself as a replacement.
Also, as Rivera pointed out, Trump got the New Hampshire Union Leader removed from a debate, too.
But “fair and balanced” Rivera is still full of love for the wayward candidate.
RIVERA: Donald Trump, as much as I love him, has no authority or right or privilege to dictate to us who we assign to a certain story. He has absolutely gone beyond the pale. I totally get that.
But I also think that this is a lose/lose. This is an awful development. I wish it never happened. This is like a bar fight between brothers.

Not quite as entertaining but with about as much staging and choreography.
Yep — two brothers named Cain and Abel . . .
.
It is beyond this boy just why your bought-and-paid-for press has been so remiss in examining the creature’s past, his ruthless and barely legal ‘deals’ and the whole panoply of quotes that would have his moronic mass of followers baying for his blood if only they knew.
We liberals and conservatives can disagree, fight the good fight, but this act of his has reached levels of insanity we’ve never seen before. And it’s not just Fox, but CNN and MSNBC are also equally guilty of allowing him all the free airtime he wants.
If he doesn’t go then I’m sure he’ll be watching the ratings very closely and hoping for the lowest so he can do his version of an end zone dance in celebration. Then he can dominate the news on Friday and throughout the weekend commenting his reaction about the debate and the media will go for it like a mouse to cheese.
Look up Megyn’s actual history, and see what someone like Eric Alterman has to say about her. Good journalism has zilch to do with foxy Fox hires.
I harp on critical thinking/reason/logic & the fallacies on other progressive sites, and I will hit it here: Fallacies are the fundamental(ist haha) tool of Fox spinners. I look at statements and plug the reason thing in and take them apart. (My B.A. is Radio/TV – hard/objective news, big liberal arts education before switching after junior year to communications, and I write. Bill Moyers, Ron Powers, etc. were the subjects and heroes, not the bullshit you see to the nth degree on the networks.) Logic takes Fox apart every time, whether Bildo, Hannity, Tantrumoros, whoever. I pretty much don’t get serious on NewsHounds, but this is the bottom line. Fox is a propaganda vehicle. There is such a thing as logical conclusion, and it defeats illogical (faulty) conclusion.
As to Geraldo, he is a celebrity narcissist, not a journalist. I remember him from day one. That he is on Fox now speaks for itself.
