Fox's Roger Ailes And Trump To Hold Peace Talks - Again

Here we go again! Donald Trump, the Republican frontrunner candidate and his on-again, off-again pal, Roger Ailes will once again try to agree about how Fox News should cover him.

From Talking Points Memo:

A Fox News spokesperson said Thursday in a statement to TPM:

"Fox News Chairman & CEO Roger Ailes and Donald Trump spoke this morning and plan to have a meeting next week to discuss their differences of opinion regarding Fox's coverage of Mr. Trump's presidential campaign. Ailes will be joined by senior Fox editorial executives. Mr. Trump believes he has been treated unfairly in certain instances. FOX News has held every candidate in this race to the highest journalistic standards throughout our coverage. We believe a candid meeting about our differences is required and that any misunderstandings can be handled without compromising those standards."

This will be at least the third such peace talk between Ailes and Trump. I see no reason to believe this one will be any more enduring than the other two. But it's just as insulting to our intelligence, to the profession of journalism and to our democracy for the head of a news organization, even one as biased as Fox is, to do anything to try to appease a candidate's displeasure over his coverage.

From Antoinette’s comment:

“Nixon Trainee Ailes is a weak and pathetic man. His employees and staff are watching Trumpster lead aging Ailes around the room with a dog collar, telling him to sit and stay.”

Hey Antoinette: given Jabba the Ailes’s VORACIOUS AND INSATIABLE APPETITE, are you ABSOLUTELY SURE you didn’t mean “s**t and stray”?

;^)

[sorry about that one mods — I just COULDN’T RESIST!]

Nixon Trainee Ailes is a weak and pathetic man. His employees and staff are watching Trumpster lead aging Ailes around the room with a dog collar, telling him to sit and stay. The almighty powerful Ailes lost his mojo. Ailes should resign immediately.

Fox “News” reputation is destroyed. Trumpster fans are now calling this third rate network “Faux News.” They’ve even called out Ailes and Ruthless Rupert as clowns. Read all the anti-Fox comments on conservative websites. It’s a gem.

NOTE TO AILES

Resign immediately. You are worthless, weak and pathetic, letting a presidential candidate boss you around, and to tell you how to run your own network. You gave in to Trumpster’s demands because you are afraid of him. You should let Trumpster run Fox “News” since you can’t, you useless clown.

GOP TV™ is obsessed with smearing Hillary so exactly what does → thin-skinned ← Donald have to complain about? Oh, I think I answered my own question. ☺

So considering how grossly unfair FOX News’ 100% negative coverage of Hillary is, what are the odds Ailes would meet with her to even yield her 5% fair and balanced coverage of a Democrat? ☺

I smell a work. It reeks of a badly written pro-wrasslin’ story.

The ease with which Trump can bring the mighty Ailes crawling to the table can’t help but boost his claims as negotiator extraordinaire. Vladimir Who?

“FOX News has held every candidate in this race to the highest journalistic standards throughout our coverage.” ROFLMAO.
The Jabba the Ailes vs. T-Rump brouhaha is about as authentic as professional rassling.

I’ve seen better conflict resolution skills on 5 year old. What must Ailes be thinking. The humiliation of “the boss” is complete. How the mighty have fallen.

There's no reason to believe this will lead to any lasting peace between them... so grab the popcorn!
