Fox’s national security analyst K.T. McFarland discussed the beheading of American Steven Sotloff yesterday on The Real Story with Gretchen Carlson in typical Fox News fashion: She pointed a finger at President Obama as the real culprit and villain.

The beheading had not even been officially confirmed before McFarland announced:

“The president stuck his head in the sand, and now we’ve seen two Americans have lost their heads. …Who’s protecting the homeland? The president has said nothing in all these conversations about, 'We’re going to secure the border, we’re going to get rid of political correctness and figure out who’s here. We’re going to find out what American passport holders are going into the Middle East, are fighting in Syria and Iraq, getting trained and then coming back to America.' We have heard nothing.”

Sadly, it’s no surprise that a Fox pundit would politicize the beheading of an American and use that horrific event to make the president seem like the real enemy.
