In case you were wondering how Fox News would use the shooting rampage in Ottawa against President Obama, your wait is over. Hint: It has a lot to do with saying the word “terror” and the “secret Muslim” dog whistle.
It was repeatedly remarked on Fox today that Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper characterized the attack as a terror attack, with an unspoken insinuation that he had the stones Obama doesn’t. Even though, unlike the Fort Hood shooter (whom Fox demands be called a terrorist) the Canadian shooter had already been flagged as high risk and his passport seized.
But to Sean Hannity, the fact that Canada had nonetheless not stopped the shooter before he killed was of no significance next to the fact that Harper used the word “terror.” And Hannity was ready to use that against President Obama who is more circumspect with that terminology. In an interview with “terrorism expert” Steve Emerson, Hannity asked:
Compare and contrast for us if you can, the Canadian prime minister – no hesitation, immediately identified this as likely terror and our own president once again is reluctant and resistant. Why?
The choice of Emerson as a guest is quite telling. As FAIR has extensively documented, Emerson has a history of hawking misinformation in his zeal to attack Muslims. FAIR’s report concludes that “Emerson’s career suggests his priority is not so much news as it is an unrelenting attack against Arabs and Muslims.” Not surprisingly, Hannity thinks Emerson is just ducky.
Hannity’s question unleashed a diatribe against President Obama that came close to suggesting his Muslim sympathies might be responsible for the attack.
EMERSON: This goes back to the beginning of the presidency when he basically banned the use of the term “Islamic terrorism.” He won’t use that term. He won’t use the term “jihad.” He blamed everything from the very beginning on Al Qaeda when in fact it belonged on radical Islam. He uses the term ‘violent extremism’ as a euphemism. So it – I’m not surprised, but the reality is that he takes the onus away from the Islamic groups for responsibility when he doesn’t blame them for carrying out acts of Islamic terrorism. And it’s really not just a problem of responsibility but it’s a problem of taking the onus of responsibility away from the clerics in the mosques and the imams that he invites to the White House, that he invites and says, “Oh, you’re fine, you’re legitimate,” and he doesn’t basically obligate them to condemn all these fatwas calling for the killing of infidels.
Hannity replied, “Yeah, but you know what? At least the Canadian Prime Minister had the guts to identify it.”
“Yes, you’re a hundred percent right,” Emerson agreed. “Stephen Harper is to be commended as is David Cameron. They both have condemned radical Islamic extremism and they both have spoken up for western values. That’s something our president hasn’t done.”
Watch it below, from tonight's Hannity.
You won’t hear about the terrorism caused by these misfit cafeteria Catholics in old, Ireland. Hannocchio has not condemned the actions of the IRA.
The dangerous Irish Republican Army
“Real IRA carried out the single most lethal bombing in the province’s history at Omagh in 1998. To date, the group has not changed its determination to keep violence as an option.”

Hannocchio is in no position to talk about other’s people’s failures, given his own numerous failures in life.
This cafeteria Catholic couldn’t make it in the priesthood. He failed miserably as a talk host on KCSB in Santa Barbara. He failed as a construction worker. He failed to complete college. His co-workers hated him. As a kid, he disrespected his parents.
He never was the sharpest pencil on the desk. He can’t think on his own without notes on his table, or the teleprompter. It is very obvious when he’s on his speaking tours. He often repeats himself, and his thoughts are all over the map. He will talk about one topic then jump to an entirely different topic, unrelated to the first one.
If it weren’t for his “Ken Doll” looks he would have never made it this far in broadcasting.
The Stop Hannity Express says the best Karma for Hannocchio is for Jr. to convert to Islam, and change his name to a Muslim name. That’s one way to distance himself from his radical father.
NOTE TO HANNITY
Hugh wasted his money sending you to private school. You still grew up to be a worthless adult.
That’s more than any Canadian or American official knew at the time.
I was almost expecting Seanny to conjecture that he swam across the Rio Grande and thumbed his way up north.
Our boy Hannocchio was also right on top of the Obama connection, explaining that the President’s"gutless" refusal to call out terrorism is because he was “indoctrinated by Alinsky, Ayers, Dohrn, Rev. Wright, Fr. Pfleger…”
Were you about to forget Obama’s past? Don’t worry, Slanthead will remind you every day for the next 38 years!
And even the Washington Times, for God’s sake, titled their report on his remarks "Obama: Terrorism may be cause of Canadian attacks.
Hannity is usually a master at distorting and deliberately misinterpreting, but in this case, he’s simply made it up.
