Fox’s Doocy Calls Song About Kicking Black Congressman’s Butt ‘Hilarious’

African American Congressman Alcee Hastings got too uppity for Fox News. Instead of answering Hastings’ criticisms of Texas, Fox & Friends welcomed country singer Larry Gatlin’s song about opening up “a cowboy boot shop in your behind” and host Steve Doocy attacked Hastings’ background.

Hastings (FL-D) had the nerve to call Texas “a crazy state” in a congressional hearing. Furthermore, Hastings said, it would be “until hell freezes over” before he apologizes.

“Don’t mess with Texas!” Doocy exclaimed before bringing on Gatlin “to respond.” A not-so-subtle American flag fluttered on the screen in the transition to Gatlin.

Turns out Gatlin had a song ready. To the tune of “The Eyes Of Texas/I’ve Been Working On The Railroad,” Gatlin sang:

The eyes of Texas are upon you

Better not come near

The eyes of Texas are upon you

I think you’d best steer clear.

You said things about my Texas that just were not kind

And if I get a chance, I’ll open up a cowboy boot shop in your behind.

“Larry, that’s hilarious,” Doocy said, laughing heartily.

Doocy took his own jab at Hastings. “By the way, we should point out that …this guy’s got quite a past,” Doocy said. Then a Fox producer posted a graphic they just happened to have at the ready showing bullet points of Hastings’ “controversial past.” According to Fox, this included having been impeached as a federal judge. But Fox also noted that Hastings had a “sexual harassment suit filed, later cleared.”

Funny, I can’t remember accusations of sexual harassment against Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas ever being deemed a blight on his record on Fox, can you?

Meanwhile, as Fox attacked Hastings for dissing Texas, nobody had a problem attacking Florida: “You talk about low-information voters, they elected this man to be their congressman. They elected Debbie Waterfowl what’s-her-name…” Gatlin sneered. “Of course, me saying this will automatically brand me a racist. But, after all, a racist is really anyone who’s winning an argument with a Democrat or a liberal.”

Or making personal attacks on Hastings: “He’s let his alligator mouth overload his hummingbird rear end,” Gatlin later said.

That got another big laugh from Doocy.

Watch it below, from today’s Fox & Friends. (H/T Raw Story).

It must be a great comfort to untalented C&W croakers like Gatlin to know they will always get a warm howdy at the Daddy Douchebag ranch.

They didn’t like what Hastings said so they both turned around and made stupid, childish jokes (and that dumb song…jeez) back in retaliation. Sorry, boys, but you ended up making yourselves look worse than the guy you were complaining about. Bwaah!

Now there’s a couple of classic nobody’s, who honestly must think they are somebody to somebody besides themselves? What a pair of worthless empty suits.

Imagine! Calling the home of Ted Cruz and Louie Gohmert a crazy state. The nerve of that man!
