Fox News’ Nancy Pelosi Freak-Out

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on January 25, 2012 · Flag

Nancy Pelosi went on CNN yesterday and said she “knows" Newt Gingrich will never become president. It’s kind of a no-brainer for most people, including conservatives like Ann Coulter. But when Pelosi said it, Fox jumped on it to accuse her of “threaten(ing)” Gingrich with some secret information she had. Later, when Pelosi said she had no secret information, Fox accused her of lying.

On CNN, Pelosi was asked for her thoughts on the “possibility” that she might return to Washington in 2013 to a President Gingrich.

Pelosi responded: “Let me just say this. That will never happen… He’s not going to be President of the United States. That’s not going to happen. Let me just make my prediction and stand by it, it isn’t going to happen.”

King pressed, “Why are you so sure?”

Here’s the “threat:” Pelosi answered, “There’s something I know. The Republicans, if they choose to nominate him, that’s their prerogative. I don’t even think that’s going to happen.”

Gingrich visited America’s Newsroom this morning in an interview that was more notable for what it revealed about tension in the Republican party than what it said about Pelosi. But in the final minute, host Martha MacCallum played the Pelosi clip.

“What does she know, Speaker Gingrich?” MacCallum asked, as if there’s something mysterious – and offering Gingrich an opportunity to attack Pelosi, a tacitc that is always welcome at Fox News.

“Look, I think if she knows something she ought to say it,” Gingrich said. “And if she doesn’t, she ought to quit saying it. But this is baloney… Frankly, I’d rather have her threaten me than endorse me.”

That brought a hearty chuckle from MacCallum.

“Civil” and “fair and balanced” Fox Nation printed an excerpt from a report in The Hill saying that Pelosi has said she “doesn’t have any dirt on Newt Gingrich.”

Rather than let the attack on Pelosi go for lack of evidence, Fox Nation wrote, “BUT WAIT… Pelosi Lies? – No New Dirt On Newt.”

I also saw a discussion about this on America Live today.

Note that Newt didn’t say there was no dirt about him that Pelosi may have, he said if she has something, she should release it….IOW, Newt knows there are some unexploded munitions out there and that she may have something (in spite of her not actually saying she had dirt). What is he hiding? Was that “open marriage” the traditional marriage guy requested of one of his three wives, non-gender specific? Does he steal from the collection plate at church? I’m not saying Gingrich steals from the church and likes sex with men while his 3rd wife watches, but obviously he’s hiding something. I know how much FNC wants to get at the truth out of concern that our leaders be honest and ethical, I am sure they are going to get to the bottom of what Newt is hiding.

Nancy Pelosi is adding more fuel to the GOP fire. She knows exactly what she is doing. Clever lady.

Our report from the GOP war front: A nasty verbal fight within the Republican Party has escalated.

High End Hannocchio slaps down Michelle Malkin on his show for not supporting conservatives.

The Jim Crow TeaNuts disavows Lil’ Annie.

Republican leadership is no where to be find. They are letting the party crash and burn.

Q – how do you turn a fat philandering fuckup into a prodigious permanent fucktard failure?

A – let it out that he is not the Anointed One

Doors: Once again, you stole my comment. Next time I catch you in my head, you owe me rent.

But you are right, and here’s the other part: If Newt has nothing new to hide… why are both him and Fox News sweating over this? Nancy didn’t say she had some earth-shattering dirt on him, she gave her opinion why he’ll lose.

Short of playing a role in 9/11 or being the mastermind behind some future act of high treason, I can’t think of anything Newt could have done that’s worse than what we already know. But he must have still done something pretty bad for just that to shake him.

You tell ’em, Fox.

Who does she think she is — Donald Trump?

Actually it appears Nancy may be working on a brilliant strategy here. By claiming that Newt has no chance of winning the Presidency she has given Newt the opportunity to use this in an ad to help counter balance the one that Mitt’s campaign was running where they both appeared together in support of something. Hopefully this will fire up the Nancy haters to vote for Newt, make him the nominee, and then in the general election watch him get spattered like a bug on a windshield come November.

Trust me, I’m an expert on this subject, never underestimate the cleverness of a women, especially when comes to dealing the stupidity of men.
