Fox Nation, the website supposedly dedicated to fair and balanced coverage of the news showed just the same kind of fairness and balance as its TV network when it reported on the White House Correspondents Dinner. In an article called Kimmel Kills, President Obama's speech was completely edited out. If reading the post was your only knowledge of the dinner, you could be forgiven for not knowing Obama gave one. Also, Fox Nation kindly edited Kimmel's jab at Chris Christie's weight and Obama's devastating (but hilarious) take down of Donald Trump. Funny, both were in the original article on which Fox Nation based its post.
The original article is called, WHCD: President Obama, Jimmy Kimmel roast Secret Service, Washington elite, each other and comes from Yahoo's The Ticket. Noting the anniversary of the killing of Osama bin Laden, Yahoo's Dylan Stableford wrote:
"We finally delivered justice to one of world's most notorious individuals," Obama recalled, as an image of Donald Trump appeared on a screen.
Obama killed with that line. But the entire sentence was left out of the Fox Nation post.
Stableford also reported Kimmel's skewering of Chris Christie.
"Look, it's Chris Christie," Kimmel told the first lady. "Get him!"
"Gov. Christie, you may be misunderstanding the [New Jersey] slogan," he added. "It's not the 'Olive Garden State.'"
But Fox Nation left out the reference to Christie and merely included:
You might be misunderstanding the New Jersey state slogan," said Kimmel. "It's not the 'Olive' Garden State."
Also left out of the Fox Nation post was Kimmel's jab at "that slut" Rush Limbaugh:
"Just to clear things this up for the extreme right wingers, here's the difference between Bill Maher and Rush Limbaugh," Kimmel explained. "The people who watch Bill Maher know he's an ---hole."
Fox Nation did leave in one of Kimmel's digs at Romney:
We would absolutely elect a Mormon president," he said of the hopeful's critics, "just not Mitt Romney."
Was this a nod at true balance or an indication that Fox cares more about the feelings of Chris Christie, Donald Trump and Rush Limbaugh than the presumptive nominee?
I report, you decide.
Videos of Obama and Kimmel below, in case you missed them.
We were hoping President Obama or Kimmel would do a jab on thin-skin High End Hannocchio’s massive spending habits. They could have had a field day with this thin-skinned, paranoid Oyster Bay sea snake.
It’s especially rewarding when you present evidence of racism, sexism, or violent behavior.
