In yet another mockery of its own stated purpose of civility and tolerance, Fox Nation (edited by O’Reilly Factor ambush producer, Jesse Watters) distorted comments from First Lady Michelle Obama in order to suggest she’s a black racist who's upset that whites have too much power in Illinois. Sadly, the hate-mongering community of readers there pounced on the race bait Watters deliberately fed them.
The Fox Nation post is called Michelle Obama 'Distressed' About Power Held in IL by 'White Irish Catholic' Families and deliberately suggests Mrs. Obama was anti-white. In fact, Obama was concerned about cronyism, as even Fox Nation reveals if you read the post:
Kantor writes Mrs. Obama "disapproved of how closely Daley held power, surrounding himself with three or four people who seemed to let few outsiders in -- a concern she would echo years later with her own husband.
"...She particularly resented the way power in Illinois was locked up generation after generation by a small group of families, all white Irish Catholic -- the Daleys in Chicago, the Hynes and Madigans statewide."
Funny how Watters left out the phrase “small group” of families but included “white, Irish Catholic.”
Only on Fox Nation would a concern about that kind of cronyism in a city as diverse as Chicago be painted as racist.
I only read a few comments on the thread but they are full of predictable accusations of black racism toward Michelle Obama. If anyone finds anything over the top, please let me know. If there are any threats, as we are accustomed to finding on Fox Nation, please also report them to the authorities.
