Fox Host Wants Bigoted Demagogue Nigel Farage To Move To The U.S.

Fox host Stuart Varney was so smitten with Nigel Farage, Britain’s version of Donald Trump, Varney urged the British demagogue to become a permanent resident of the U.S.

Farage, formerly head of the U.K. Independence Party and one of the leaders of the “Brexit” movement, was recently described as Donald Trump’s “British Alter Ego,” in The New Yorker:

Just as Trump has done in this country, Farage and his party appealed to deep-rooted racism and xenophobia, and made limiting immigration a central issue. Particularly in working-class districts of Britain, ukip’s message that immigrants were to blame for many of the country’s ills, and that the E.U. was synonymous with mass immigration, proved to have widespread appeal.

But for Varney, there was nothing not to like about Farage. Especially the fact that he’s a Trump supporter who recently appeared at a Trump campaign rally. Noting that not many people there knew who Farage was, Varney gushed, “by the time you finished speaking, they loved you!”

Then, as the interview was winding down, Varney said, “A lot of people in America love you, why don’t you stay? Get a green card. Stay - you want to?”

Farage laughed. “You did, didn’t you?” he said about Varney. “I mean, you’ve been here forever.”

Then he promised, “Over the course of the next few weeks, I will be back.”

What kind of “fair and balanced” news anchor urges anyone to get a green card, much less a guy like Farage?

Man — these rightwingnuts sure aren’t choosy about immigration policy when its one of their fellow crazies they want brought in . . .

What kind of “fair and balanced” news anchor urges anyone to get a green card, much less a guy like Farage?

Answer: a non-news anchor (Varney) on a non-news network (Fox), when the subject is a non-Mexican/non-Muslim (Farage)

@ ez: Varney CAN be deported. Naturalization does not lead to immunity from deportation. All it requires is the naturalization be revoked. Only people born in the US to parents who are citizens are immune from deportation. (Though, as the below website notes, a child born to naturalized citizens and who had citizenship conferred at birth may lose their citizenship if their parents’ citizenship is revoked.)

“Although rare, it is possible for a naturalized U.S. citizen to have his or her citizenship stripped through a process called “denaturalization.” Former citizens who are denaturalized are subject to removal (deportation) from the United States. Natural-born U.S. citizens may not have their citizenship revoked against their will, but may choose to renounce their citizenship on their own."

Fartage inspired all the boneheads across the pond to do the wrong thing. I’m glad the US doesn’t have every moron in the world right here. Share the wealth I always say.

Or we can deport Shitstain Varnish back to the UK where he and Nigel can cuddle all day and night.
