Fox & Friends teamed up with Ann Coulter to exploit the horrific murder of Kathryn Steinle in San Francisco in order to validate Donald Trump’s smears of Mexicans.
Once again, Fox News forgot that it’s against politicizing tragedy as the Curvy Couch Crew turned to hate-mongering Coulter to do exactly that.
Cohost Clayton Morris asked about the murder, “Ann, do you feel vindicated?” After a pause, in which he may have realized he appeared to invite gloating over a young woman’s death, he added, “sadly.”
Coulter giggled. “Not much to feel vindicated over,” she said. Then she made a joke about it. “I’m dying to know if Jeb Bush attacks Donald Trump for his comments the actual day Kathryn was murdered by an illegal immigrant or the next day. I gather he won’t be speaking at her funeral.”
Later, Coulter said, “I will bet you, by the end of the weekend, more Americans will have been killed by Mexicans than by ISIS or by sharks.” She didn’t mention how many Americans were killed by illegal guns. Nor did anyone else.
Cohost Elizabeth Prann asked, “Do you think that the news is even reporting what happened to Kathryn Steinle? I mean, I’m looking for more headlines. I see it occasionally but I don’t see it plastered all over the headlines.”
Prann didn’t say why this should be “plastered all over the headlines.” A simple Google News search shows that the story was covered plenty. But apparently, that was not enough for her.
Even Coulter thought there was adequate coverage. “I would say this story is getting more coverage than immigrants killing Americans usually do,” she said. Her reasoning? “Because this happened someplace liberals might go.”
“There are so many drunk driving accidents, so many Americans being killed and raped in places liberals don’t go. They just take the cheap labor,” Coulter continued.
There are many reasons to doubt Coulter’s assertions. Huffington Post published an article called, “Here's Proof Illegal Immigration Doesn't Cause More Murders, In One Chart,” last year. Media Matters notes that Coulter's recent anti-immigration book "cites a long list of racist and white nationalist extremists." That’s not counting Coulter’s long record of falsehoods. Coulter can’t even vote truthfully.
But “fair and balanced” Prann – along with her two cohosts - acted as if there was no reason to question Coulter’s allegations.
Coulter went on to suggest that Republicans should stop giving a fig about insulting Hispanics or trying to win their vote. In her New-England-snob accent, she called George W. Bush “the most Hispandering president” and said he only got 40% of the Hispanic vote. “Well, that’s still losing,” she added.
Not one of the three cohosts challenged the insult nor the idea of shrugging off as unimportant 17% of the U.S. population.
“Thank you Ann, we appreciate it,” Prann said chummily as the discussion ended.

These two have so much in common. He should dump Merri Jill and marry Annie since they enjoy each other’s company.
Not that Coulter gives a damn that somebody was murdered, but it’s a cheap way to score a political point. And that’s just what she does.
