Fox & Friends Anti-Obama Video Doesn't Cost "Rogue" Producer His Job

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on June 01, 2012 · Flag

Produce a four-minute attack on President Obama and call it news? No biggie if you're the associate producer of Fox & Friends. TVNewser is reporting that Chris White, the associate producer whom Fox blamed for the propaganda piece, will not lose his job. Color us shocked - not. After all, this is the same network that didn't consider it a fireable offense when one of its news anchors "just asked" whether the Barack Obama campaign had threatened the life of Chelsea Clinton in order to keep her parents from spilling the beans about Obama's birth certificate.

TVNewser reports:

“Chris White will remain employed with FOX News,” says Bill Shine, Fox News EVP of programming. “We’ve addressed the video with the producers and are not going to discuss the internal workings of our programming any further.”

Here's the video again.

The previous commenters are forgetting the very obvious flip side to this story. If some producer at CNN or MSNBC at done the same kind of hit piece on Romney, you can be damned sure that FoxNoise would be clamoring 24/7 that the producer be fired for that “propaganda” (and, of course, both networks would cave in and fire the guy/gal within 72 hours of FoxNoise’s first hypocritical attack).

Well it makes sense. Afterall if this or any producer at Fox would put together a 4 minute video reminding viewers the financial meltdown and losing appoximely 750,000 jobs a month in the final eight months of 2008, or (gasp with horror) the fact that we were paying more for gas in the Summer of 08, $4.80 a gallon here in California and the entire mess of Iraq that President Obama inherited from Bush & Dick, THEN that would be grounds for dismissal.

I wonder what the reaction from Fox & Friends would be to that?

Some say that Chris White will find a nice bonus in his next paycheck.

4 minutes is a very long time for any professional organization to NOT realize that there was something wrong. Kevin and Greg are right…..this was agreed upon and executed per plan.

Fox has fired producers for far less than this when they actually disagreed with the work. In this case, it’s clear that this is work they completely agree with.
