Fox used the horrific terror attack on France’s Charlie Hebdo today to give a little plug for torture.
In the middle of a lengthy session of exploiting the France attack with fear mongering and hate mongering, co-host Shannon Bream deliberately suggested that the same thing could happen here “very quickly and very easily.” And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why Fox wants you to be scared to death if we don't keep torturing people.
BREAM: There is a lot of criticism coming at the administration from The Hill already today. People – first of all, acknowledging this is tragic. We are with the people of Paris and all of those who lost their lives, the ones who were standing boldly for free speech and journalism and also the police who were there to try to assist.
But at the same time we have Senators Graham and Ayotte, both Republicans, coming out saying there are multiple problems here. First of all, we have a very open visa process with France so don’t think this can’t show up here very quickly and very easily. And also, Senator Graham specifically going after the president for issues on detention and interrogation, saying that is why we have to have those policies in place because this was very organized. I think we’d all acknowledge. Even with what little we know now, this wasn’t lone wolf.
By the way, Bream is a Liberty University alumna who makes a show of being religious.
Who do you think Jesus would torture, Shannon?
I’ll have more on this segment in my next post. Meanwhile, watch it below, from today’s Outnumbered.
While the Frogs of all faiths (including Islam) and political inclination (including the National Front, with a couple of Foxy-like caveats) are determined NOT to allow themselves to be terrorised, the Foxy mouthpieces are speaking to an audience that is already shaking in their boots and hiding behind empty tough talk.
Straight backs and self-respect vs lips quivering in fear (cornered grizzlies vs cornered rabbits).
PS: The perps have apparently been identified because one of them forgot his ID card in the escape car. That and a multitude of other little mistakes make it impossible to compare this 9/11 as our own pundits have started doing. I really do wish the MSM would avoid giving in to the temptation to ride these horses of hyperbole.
