Fox’s Charles Krauthammer called Obama “the biggest deficit increaser in the history of the galaxy.”
Yesterday, on Special Report, there was a discussion about the upcoming budget battle between President Obama and Congress. Host Bret Baier noted the falling deficit but tried to credit the Republicans by adding that it “largely could be pointing to the sequester.”
However, the sequester began in March, 2013, whereas the deficit has been falling steadily since President Obama took office, in 2009.
Krauthammer said, “The entire idea that he’s the big deficit cutter is ridiculous. He’s been the biggest deficit increaser in the history of the galaxy, and what he’s done is that he has reduced that to gargantuan levels in other words from $1.5 trillion, it’s now a third of that and still the historically highest level of deficit we’ve ever seen.”
It's hard to understand how, if Krauthammer acknowledges that the deficit is now a third of what it was, Krauthammer could call Obama a "deficit increaser."
But, not surprisingly, "objective" host Baier didn't challenge Krauthammer. Instead, Baier piled on. “Not to mention the national debt,” he added.
”Which is already exploding and to which he’s added about $5 or 6 trillion. So, you know he’s doing a dance in the end zone, and he’s not even past the 50 yard line on this,” Krauthammer said..
Does anybody believe that if President Obama were Republican Fox wouldn’t be singing his deficit-reducing praises?
