Phillip Perea, a disgruntled former producer for a Texas Fox News affiliate visited Fox News’ New York City headquarters today and shot himself on the sidewalk just outside. He claimed to be a victim of workplace bullying.
Interestingly, Perea’s troubles seemed to have begun in the aftermath of a controversy over the use of police force against a jaywalker. Perea’s then-employer, KTBC, disapproved of a Facebook photo of Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo that made him look foolish.
From a July, 2014 article in The Austin Chronicle:
Perea provided the Chronicle a recorded conversation he had with KTBC Vice President and General Manager Michael Lewis concerning the Facebook posting. Three months afterward, in a May 24 meeting concerning his imminent suspension (levied, based on the same recordings, due to alleged inappropriate behavior and an alleged general inability to follow directions), Perea recorded Lewis saying that Acevedo hadn’t agreed to an individualized interview with Fox since the subsequently deleted photo had been Facebooked.
“He was so offended by that, that we’re on the outs,” Lewis (as identified by Perea) apparently told Perea. “He won’t come on our station anymore.” He said Acevedo was letting Fox sit in and record group media interviews, but avoiding one-on-ones – and added that the photo had made Acevedo “look like a buffoon.”
As my former colleague, Elisabeth Parker, notes at Addicting Info, Perea left a series of plaintive, disturbing tweets and videos claiming he was systematically bullied by his former employer. We’ll never know to what degree, if any, Perea’s treatment by KTBC contributed to his despair and hopelessness.
However, one thing is clear: even at the local level, Fox News is very, very concerned keeping at least some people in public office happy. Since when is that the job of a news organization?
It took a suicide of an employee to show the evil of this dark company, and the suits, regardless if national or local. All of them operate the same way.
If these American Workplace Bullies at this hellish skyscraper are not happy with a reporter’s story, he or she, may face suspension followed by termination. These Satanic suits have terminated employees in other departments as well. They use the same excuse “inability to follow directions.” Or will say they are not happy with their work.
Look at the hacking and bribery scandals in the U.K. A prime example of how these suits really operate in this Satanic company.
These Satanic suits are capable of ruining people’s careers, and it’s time their elderly viewers learn about their methods.
Ruthless Rupy controls the leash on these worthless two-bit executives. Ruthless holds meetings with his top suits in print, digital, entertainment, and other News Corporation/21st Century Fox properties. He dictates the direction of his properties and staff. Ruthless, who wears these funny socks to work, sets the tone of what you see now.
The evil cafeteria Catholic suits are responsible for what airs on this worthless network, and they know who they are. Right, Bill and John?
Coming down the pipeline of the American Workplace Bullies:
1. Adultery
2. Drugs
3. Backdoor deals
4. Political favors
They are not Christians-not by a long shot. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing. These men are vindictive, vengeful, evil, and power hungry.
