Just to get this in on Hasslebeck:

She’s the only person who has ever been on the view that I never really liked. She’s like one of those actors that don’t care about turning in a good performance playing the good guy, but the passion they put into being a bad guy is almost disturbing.

I have no doubt she could be a nice person, probably because it’s not hard to be a nicer person than she comes across as on The View… But onscreen, she’s either an incredibly vicious person, or she’s half into it.

Then again, I thought the same thing about Carlson. She seemed like an intelligent, somewhat warm person outside of Fox, but what will we remember of her on-air? Panty shots and an almost bipolar persona.

And she is a devout Catholic, too. Gretch is Protestant so now Fox & Friends is uniformly part of the “one true church.” Hasslebeck and I went to the same Catholic high school (obviously not at the same time) tee, hee.

We’re haters, Victoria?

Here’s what you should be nauseated about Victoria that women can only be a host of a television program if they look like they walked out of a modeling catalog. Right, left or center it doesn’t matter. They must please the men in charge of advertising who feel they need a playmate to attract viewership to sell their product. Those who don’t meet those standards need not apply.

Just think of the many capable women who never got the opportunity because of their personal appearance, while we men are judged differently and actually graded on our abilities and given a pass on what we look like.

What is really sad is when she wasn’t talking politics I liked Elizabeth Hsselbeck on The View. She seemed nice and little ditzy. It will be interesting to see how much of her soul she will sell to fit into the snarky mold.
