Dick Morris Donors Not Happy With His Shenanigans

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on December 13, 2012 · Flag

It turns out Dick Morris' wacky predictions for a Mitt Romney landslide are not the only thing that have turned people against him. Media Matters found some of his Super PAC donors and discussed the unusually high percentage of funds raised that went into fundraising and other costs, as opposed to helping to electing Romney.

Media Matters reports today:

As Media Matters reported last week, Federal Election Commission documents show that Morris' Super PAC for America paid nearly $1.7 million, or nearly half of all money the Fox News political analyst and columnist for The Hill helped raise, to Newsmax Media, which manages Morris' for-rent email list.

The circular scam apparently worked like this: Morris, acting as chief strategist for the group, sent at least 21 emails to his private for-rent email list, urging readers to give generously to the PAC to fund television ads Morris claimed were essential to a Mitt Romney victory. Newsmax.com sent an additional 25 emails to their own list, featuring a similar pitch and often the signature of either Morris or Michael Reagan, a Newsmax columnist and the PAC's chairman. Then a large percentage of the take was directed back to the coffers of Newsmax, which derives significant profits from its ability to rent out its mailing list to various groups.

Media Matters also contacted a number of Morris' donors who were distinctly displeased to learn about this.

I've long questioned why Fox News continues to give Morris credibility, and so often. But it may just be that his jig there is finally up.

We have an excellent suggestion for all those Morris donors-sue Dick Morris and NewsMax. In court, the donors can trace the money trail.

Picture the Little Man behind bars with other inmates. If he’s lucky, he might run into Handout Hannocchio’s old chums.

NOTE TO MORRIS DONORS

Go see a lawyer.

This kind of exposure, more than Morris’ stubborn insistence on a fantasy Romney landslide, is the kind of thing that could lead to him quietly being shown the door.

It’s one thing to be shown to be really drinking your own kool aid. It’s another to be taking the backers’ money and using it to salt your own nest. Newsmax will find a way to weasel out of this but I don’t know how Morris will. If it’s shown that he was getting any kind of kickback from this (and this material indicates he was), he’s got a serious amount of splaining to do.

It’s difficult to figure out why Fux Noise continues to employ whoremongering, toe-sucking pervert Dick Morris. His crackpot analysis consists of blatantly wrong political predictions coupled with gratuitous smears of the Clintons and shameless self-promotion of his worthless books. LIttle Dickie needs to find another way to pay for his favorite whore’s toe-cheese.
