Colbert Mocks Fox’s ‘Boots On The Ground’ Obsession

Posted by Ellen -7841.60pc on September 19, 2014 · Flag

Stephen Colbert was in top form last night. Not only did he magnificently skewer Sean Hannity, but he gave Fox News’ “boots on the ground” obsession just the kind of comedic drubbing it deserves.

Last night, Bill O’Reilly banned the use of the phrase “boots on the ground” from his show. If he watched this segment from The Colbert Report later, he’ll be so glad he did! Fox contributor Pete Hegseth, on the other hand, won’t come away so pleased.

Senator Ms. Lindsey Graham is demanding that any boots on the ground in Iraq be kinky boots.

Outstanding segment. And, I really needed it. Yesterday afternoon, I watched an uninterrupted hour of Fox “news” for the first time ever, and started to realize the impact such mind-numbing repetition could have on someone over a long period of time. I know of many people who get all their news from this source.

In case you need a laugh tonight at Fox's expense.
