Civil rights attorney Leo Terrell was back on the Hannity show last night for a discussion about a New York newspaper publishing the identities of gun owners in its vicinity. But instead of just allowing Terrell to debate his position, Sean Hannity just happened to gratuitously mention that Terrell "was friends with O.J. Simpson." Again. Terrell, who has faced this smear several other times, put his hands over his ears, effectively ending his part of the discussion.
It's not clear to me what kind of relationship Terrell had with Simpson but there were many people friends with Simpson whom Hannity never seems to care about - including the father of the Kardashian family. Yet Hannity keeps bringing this up as though it's a defining characteristic of Terrell. Clearly, it's an effort to discredit him.
Terrell is right to object and smart to do so via political theater.

Sean Hannity continued the national debate over gun rights tonight with a particular focus on the New York newspaper that published the names and addresses of every gun owner in multiple counties. Guest Leo Terrell was particularly fired up on the issue, and when it looked like he was about to really rage at Hannity, he simply covered his ears with his hands to avoid listening.
