Check Out How Hannity Tried To Make Ted Cruz Look Awesomely Presidential

An hour-long, lapdog interview on the day Senator Ted Cruz announced his 2016 candidacy just wasn’t enough presidential awesomeness for Sean Hannity.

To kick off his Cruz for president campaign interview, Hannity put together a video montage, complete with inspirational music, to accompany Cruz’ extremist excellence.

“It is a time for liberty! It is a time to reclaim the Constitution of the United States!” Cruz declared as his Commander-in-Chief score played along. In between, there were clips of wildly cheering crowds and reverential young people waving flags. It could have been a Super Bowl commercial.

We also saw Cruz kissing his family – just one hour before Jon Stewart revealed that Cruz had rehearsed that “spontaneous” display of affection (see second video below).

But even that was not enough promotion. Hannity concluded the lovefest by awarding Cruz a minute of uninterrupted airtime to give a direct pitch for his candidacy. Or, as Hannity put it, “to explain why he thinks he is the best Republican for you to choose to be the next president of the United States.”

How much do you think this hour-long, prime time infomercial was worth in dollars?

Watch the blatant campaigning thinly disguised as news - plus, a dose of Daily Show sanity - below.

From Antoinette’s comment:

“Grab that large bucket of popcorn. It’s showtime!”

OK Antoinette — BUT remember this part of “Murphy’s Law”:

ANYTHING GOOD IN LIFE IS EITHER ILLEGAL, IMMORAL, OR VERY FATTENING.

;^)

While it’s highly unlikely he’ll get the nomination, I do think it’s possible he’ll run as a third party candidate (Tea Party nominee?) and leave the R’s in complete ashes for ’16.

If he does I wonder how much time Sean and Fox will allow him on the network to speak? I’ll guess zero.

Sounds good John, but I’ve yet to see a Democratic contender. The choice will likely be between Hillary Clinton and whichever Republican nutjob can excite the far right base in the primary.

Opportunist Hannocchio is kissing the behinds of all Republican candidates for ratings, and a chance to return to the White House to showboat with the future president.

The Stop Hannity Express says the Elite Washington GOP Power Machine will do everything in its power to derail Rafael’s vision for the White House.

Poor Rafael. He does not realize the Jebby is in the pockets of so many people. He will learn quickly what loyalty really means.

Grab that large bucket of popcorn. It’s showtime!

NOTE TO HANNITY

Showboat.

Didn’t bother listening to vannochio video. The guy is such a clown.
Doesn’t surprise me a bit, because vannochio is just as out of touch with reality as mr. Canada. He is EXACTLY what this little prick is calling for; someone to CUT HIS TAXES, repeal Obamacare, privatize the federal government, starve Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid until they are worthless remnants of a safety net; and more than willing to shut down the government forever if necessary.
These are two peas in a pod. Same delusional, “compassionate conservatives” willing to screw the struggling and middle class so they can get their precious tax break.
Oh yeah, and bomb the hell out of Iran regardless of consequences.
Worthless clowns- not funny at all.

So, since they are “Fair and Balanced” we should look for the minute of uninterrupted answers by a Democrat now…?

And when Hillary declares her candidacy, will Fux Noise similarly carry her announcement in its entirety and then follow it with a similar one-hour infomercial?
OR will they ignore the speech, highlight an edited two-minute portion and then follow with a solid hour of Hillary bashing (Benghazi, email, Whitewater, Vince Foster, Monica Lewinsky, etc ad nauseam)?
