Cheating Husband Ed Henry Returns To Fox News

In the midst of all the allegations of sexual harassment at Fox News, correspondent Ed Henry is coming back from “time off” after his steamy extra-marital affair with a Las Vegas hostess was revealed.

From my May 4 post:

According to InTouch, Henry, who is married to NPR’s deputy Washington editor Shirley Hung, had a steamy affair with “Las Vegas hostess Natalia Lima.” Apparently, she decided to cash in spill the beans to InTouch:

“Whenever he was in town, we would pretty much just have sex. He has a really high sex drive,” Natalia reveals in an exclusive interview, explaining that she met the 44-year-old broadcaster, who’s been crisscrossing the country covering the U.S. presidential campaign, five years ago through social media and they turned their friendship into a sexual relationship in the spring of 2015.

Interestingly, Henry’s time off coincided with former host Andrea Tantaros’ suspension. Tantaros, as you probably know, filed a bombshell lawsuit against Fox News last week. In it, she accused Fox host Bill O’Reilly, Fox contributor Scott Brown and correspondent John Roberts of harassment. Her complaint also alleged:

Fox News masquerades as defender of traditional family values, but behind the scenes, it operates like a sex-fueled, Playboy Mansion-like cult, steeped in intimidation, indecency, and misogyny.

According to The Hill, Henry is set to return to Fox tomorrow, after a four-month absence.

The Hill hears that Henry will return to the network this Monday. The 45-year-old will do general assignment reporting and will no longer be the network’s chief White House correspondent.

[…]

The Hill learned that Fox’s plan for Henry does not include any reporting on the presidential campaign or any political reporting in general.

This is clearly something of a demotion for Henry. But given the rest of what is going on at Fox these days, it doesn’t send a great message.

So his wife is the Hung one in the relationship?

This penalty was quite excessive. What goes on between a reporter and his wife is a private matter. Whatever “morals clause” may be involved in employment should not be extended to this sort of thing. It is especially hypocritical considering the predatory environment which may have existed at Fox.

Welcome back, Ed.

We forget that a man can cheat on his wife over and over and we allow him to continue to live in the People’s White House but we can’t forgive Ed? I say welcome back Ed. We missed your tough but fair reporting. Fox should let you back on the campaign trail.

I don’t care about Henry’s extramarital affair, either. My point was that his return lends credence to the allegation that Fox is a ““a sex-fueled, Playboy Mansion-like cult,” as Andrea Tantaros alleged in her lawsuit.

Sexual shenanigans? Unfortunate, sometimes tragic, but they happen in the best of families.

Hypocrisy? A totally different story to this boy. ‘Let he who is without sin cast the first stone’ is one of my favourite Jesus zingers.

Horny Henry will be doing special reports for Red Eye until his contract is up. Then it’s back to selling Las Vegas time shares.

My only question would be,“Well, Ed, was it worth it?”

Mr. Henry’s situation seems to be a different case. I’m with Eyes on Fox on this one. No big deal.

Being a Clinton supporter, I can’t get too hung up over people’s extramarital affairs. Though obviously there’s a certain amount of hypocrisy regarding Ed returning to morally superior Fox News – if you pay attention to GOPTV’s ™ own chest-thumping.

I think it was Tantaros who brought Ed into the conversation with sexual harassment charges. Evidence is emerging Tantaros is an unreliable witness. Both TVNewser and their founder have made compelling arguments her allegations against them are bunk.

I hope regulars here will recognize I’m not one to apologize for partisan Fox hacks like Henry. Calling it as I see it.
