Apparently, Neil Cavuto didn’t need an actual sequester to happen before he could tell us what he "saw." In a Cavuto on Business program that was taped yesterday, he told us all about the lack of problems from the sequester – even though today is the first full day of it and the first full workday is Monday. Those who predict otherwise, he declared, are "bit fat liars so far."
Here’s how Cavuto opened today’s show:
I bet you woke up this morning and were surprised to even see the sun (a Hallelujah chorus erupted in the background). Hours into sequestration damnation and so far, not even a hint of frustration. It’s not what I see, it’s pretty much what I don’t see. I don’t see airports shutting down because security agents were fired, I don’t see mental patients wandering the streets because they didn’t get their meds even though I do see them wandering the street, and I don’t see Mr. Ed popping up in anyone’s cheeseburger just yet because we just fired all the food inspectors. That’s my beef, politicians scaring us to the bone. Big fat liars so far.
Later in the segment, regular Ben Stein said, “The real catastrophe is that the government will not compromise. I mean this isn’t the Third Reich, it’s not supposed to be run by absolutes, it’s supposed to be run by some people giving, other people giving.”
Charles Gasparino later said, “(Obama’s) running around saying he’s not a dictator. Well guess what, he acts like one sometimes.”
Third Reich? Calling the President a dictator? Just more “fair and balanced” commentary from Fox.
Given your point of view, Kneel,

this comes as no surprise . . .

“If this were a dictatorship, it’d be a heck of a lot easier, so long as I’m the dictator.” — George W. Bush
