Apparently, Brian Kilmeade's little joke, "“Women are everywhere. We’re letting them play golf and tennis now. It’s out of control," didn't sit well with Gretchen Carlson. She got up, told Kilmeade he could read the headlines, and walked off the set.
While I can applaud Carlson on one level, on another it seemed like just a cutesy stunt. And, of course, Carlson came back once the yuks were over.

What do we think? That Gretchen Carlson is a wonderful journalist with exquisitely lovely legs, and that her insightful, tender, heart-warming interview today with Bristol Palin was TV at its very best.

Forgot to add . . . I suspect tomorrow, Fox N’ Fiends will say the exact same thing; that it was “just a joke” and “we’re a fun show” . . .

@doors17: yep, this was a stunt, reminiscent of Brian Kilmeade’s walk-off in 2008 — which, the following Monday, the hosts said was a joke:

She came across to me as if she was trying to be cute. Besides if she was really truly offended then you would think she would never agree to be a guest on Bill OâReillyâs show.
About four or five years ago Brian did walk off the set in angry.

Wretchen Gretchen can walk off the set, but she can’t walk off Fox “News.”
Nixon-trainee Roger Ailes rules the women at Fox “News” with a virtual whip. If they get out out of line, he fires them.
NOTE TO CARLSON
Be a real woman and walk off Fox “News.”
