Bill O’Reilly Wants To Sue His Ex-Wife For $10 Million

The guy who can’t stop lecturing African Americans about problems in their families can’t seem to stop getting into his own family troubles. After losing custody of his two children, Bill O’Reilly now plans to sue his ex-wife for $10 million over the terms of their separation agreement.

Gawker has the details about O'Reilly's latest row with ex-wife Maureen McPhilmy:

The Fox host’s lawyers have filed a series of documents alleging that McPhilmy “knowingly made false misrepresentations and material omissions of existing fact to [O’Reilly] ... for the sole purpose of inducing [him] to agree to a consensual divorce and to obtain money and real property to finance an existing extra-marital relationship.”

LawNewz explains what that means, in plain English:

In other words, O’Reilly is alleging his ex-wife lied about her relationship with another man in order to obtain a more favorable divorce settlement agreement. Furthermore, he is alleging she used the money obtained during the divorce settlement to bankroll that relationship.

You may recall that O'Reilly's appeal of his wife's full-time custody of their children (which was awarded at their request) was deemed so meritless that the court ordered he pay her court costs. During that battle, O'Reilly's daughter said she had witnessed him drag her mother down the stairs by the neck. O'Reilly also tried to wreak revenge on his wife's lover, a police detective whom she has now married, by pulling strings to get him investigated by the internal affairs division of the Nassau County Police Department.

Something tells me that vindictiveness is not one of the family values that O’Reilly espouses for others.

He really should clean up his own act before lecturing anyone else.

@bob – I’m sure the daughter doesn’t want to be alone with Bill for a variety of reasons. Not the least of which is her supposedly witnessing Bill choking her mother and dragging her down the stairs. Who knows what Bill is capable of doing to his family without police supervision?

Most reports are that the daughter wants nothing to do with him and doesn’t go to scheduled visitation. I don’t know about the son. Also believe that it is in part of the daughter’s refusal to see him that is spurring O’Loofah to file yet another law suit against his ex-wife.

What is causing these children extreme emotional distress is the fact that Bile is their father.
I am willing to bet these two children are scarred for life by their Father’s actions ,they are both teenagers now, a difficult period of their lives already. O’Reilly you are a worthless ,self serving, self absorbed, selfish piece of shit and I hope you lose every time you start a new lawsuit against your ex wife. And by the way, I am sure your kids hate your fat guts already so keep piling it on you loser.

From w d’s comment:

“Contempt of court, two nights in jail, Mr. O’Reilly. And say another word and it becomes one week.”

That would be worth all the tea in China…"

Or all the beans in Boston, because with Memorial Day weekend approaching, America sure as hell can use the gas!

w d commented: Cool. Court is open to the public and open court proceedings are part of the public record.
-——

That may not end up being the case, w d. I guess we’ll soon see whether the court agrees to seal the case or not.

From the Gawker article…

“Though the documents filed thus far are open to the public, O’Reilly is apparently hoping to convince the court to seal the remainder of his case against McPhilmy. In early April, O’Reilly applied for an “anonymous caption order and sealing of file,” but was denied on the same day. O’Reilly later submitted a copy of his and McPhilmy’s separation agreement, dated November 2009, in which both parties agreed to conduct future legal disputes anonymously. In a separate filing, his lawyers argued that he and McPhilmy “are contractually obligated not to disclose information related to this dispute as they agreed it is in the best interests of their children, which overcomes the right of public access to records.”

O’Reilly also invoked his status as a television celebrity to justify sealing his lawsuit against McPhilmy: “Plaintiff is a public figure and matters concerning his personaI life, marriage, and children, attract media attention, which, upon information and belief, caused the minor children extreme emotional distress.”

I would love to see just one minute of O’Reilly yelling at the judge to “shut up!”

“Contempt of court, two nights in jail, Mr. O’Reilly. And say another word and it becomes one week.”

That would be worth all the tea in China…

Cool. Court is open to the public and open court proceedings are part of the public record. Want that BillDo? Or are you just trying to harass your ex-wife through your strong-arm legal tactics…?

Family values indeed…

Hey Bill — should have gone to Hollywood and worked in the movie and TV business rather than to New York and worked in the “News” business; in Hollywood, people can have huge egos and be narcissists and philanderers and cheat on their spouses with 20 year-olds and nobody cares or knows about it. You simply picked the wrong industry to have fun in. Sucks to be you, Bill.

This might turn out to be like when Henry Ford sued the Chicago Tribune for calling him an ignorant idealist. Bad idea. Henry Ford was ignorant. And they showed that before God and everybody in a court of law.

We might learn more lurid details of O’Reillys thin skinned temper.

Normally I’d say let the case play out but there is a record here and it is overwhelmingly against him. So, O’Really, why do you want to beat up again?

I’m dying to see him prove that Maureen was carrying on an extra-marital affair before the separation agreement. I’m sure he believes his good word is enough proof. When will he discuss this on Talking Points or the Impact Segment?

Yep, BOR needs to refrain from lecturing others about marriage/family values (for several reasons) but mostly because it just goes to show what a huge effin’ hypocrite he is. He has every advantage available to him yet he is incapable of living up to his own preaching and finger-wagging with regards to marriage/family life.

I was reading about this over on Gawker last night. It seems that BOR is looking to get the results of this latest lawsuit kept anonymous and sealed because he’s worried that the media attention might cause his kids “emotional distress”. I wonder if this a**hole has even considered the the amount of emotional distress that he is bringing upon his kids by suing their Mom and keeping this mess going instead of just moving on with his life? I know several children of divorced parents and it hurts them deeply when 1 or both of the parents won’t let it go. BOR is a vindictive narcissist and the fact that his wife has been moving on with her life and got custody is no doubt eating him up in side.

Btw, I was reading somewhere that because this is a civil lawsuit, other things than just his claims against her can be brought up (such as his dragging his wife by the neck, his Andrea Mackris mess, etc.). I can’t imagine that his ex and her lawyer are going to give him an easy go of it. And, if it’s true that these other things can indeed be brought up, that also probably plays a huge part into why BOR is looking to get the proceedings and results sealed.

And my favorite Gawker comment from someone named CatdogWhisperer:
“Bill O’Reilly plans to sue someone for being misleading. In other news, irony officially announced it’s retirement today, saying it wanted to go out on top..”

LOL!

So his wife can give Bill back a few bucks to cover the motel rooms and condoms the cuckold unwittingly financed. He can use it for bail money for when he’s arrested for spousal abuse.

Bill, the “f-ck it we’ll do it live” guy, has an on air persona as phony as Trump’s every changing positions. He comes off as one of the guys but he’s a narcissist who’s survived a cutthroat business by being a flaming hemorrhoid.

So if some small fry is suing a giant corporation, I suppose O’Reilly thinks that is a frivolous lawsuit clogging up the system.

This sounds like he’s not happy with his divorce judgment and expects to somehow reverse that with a lawsuit with a hefty price tag.

Sounds like a republican to me.

can’t wait for Bildo to lose again! Too bad we can’t put him out of business permanently from a financial standpoint. I’d love nothing more than to see him in rags begging.
