Bill O’Reilly: I Trust Iran More Than The American Press

Bill O’Reilly would, apparently, believe an analysis of the Iran nuclear deal framework from an Iranian more than from an American journalist.

In a discussion about the Iran nuclear deal, Bill O’Reilly and Brit Hume considered how the deal will be received and interpreted in Congress and by the country.

Hume said he thinks, “Congress will have an up or down say in all of this.”

That’s when O’Reilly let loose his hatred of the press:

O’REILLY: Here’s what I don’t want. I don’t want the press – because I don’t trust the press. I think I trust Iran more than I trust the American press. I don’t want the American press interpreting this for me.

I want to see it in the committee hearings on the television. I want to see the debate.

Hume did not challenge the statement.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting to see the committee hearings on television, though O’Reilly’s clearly preferring Republican spin – which the GOP-controlled hearings will undoubtedly be filled with – over our press. But to say that he trusts Iran more?

Watch the Fox News version of a patriot, below, from tonight’s The O’Reilly Factor.

Sandman2, IIRC, this was before Judith Miller. I do plan on writing about her. I wanted to do something on Rolling Stone first, for comparison, though. My Rolling Stone post is scheduled for the AM.

BOR: “I don’t want the American press interpreting this for me. I want to see it in the committee hearings on the television. I want to see the debate.”
-—-

Well, no sh!t, Sherlock – most Americans would like to have the time/opportunity to interpret the news/world events for themselves. I value that too.

However, knowing that BOR has personal animus against the so-called liberal media, I’m more with what Ellen is thinking…that BOR wants the interpretation of the news to better match his own ideology/traditional agenda (which is largely the same as his conservatively-biased employer and the GOP majority Congress). He knows that the GOP’s anti-Obama/pro-Netanyahu attitude will take precedence at the hearings so BOR is signaling the FOX “news” viewers that perhaps they should be making up their minds based on right-wing talking points that come out of the hearings.

So BOR doesn’t want the American press interpreting news/world events for him? Well, at least he now knows how millions of Americans feel about him and FOX “news” and the manner in which he and his right-wing network bogusly interprets the news for us.

As for the matter of “trust”, BOR, you really shouldn’t be going there considering all the lies you’ve been caught in lately.

Of course, he doesn’t trust the press. I mean, if O’rielly knows he wasn’t on any porch in Florida during a suicide as clearly as he knows he never set foot in the Falkland Islands despite claiming to see combat there. He’s a pathological liar. He’s also a ‘newsman’ by trade. If he, Mr. Pomposity himself, cannot maintain journalistic integrity how can mere mortal reporters be trusted, in the world, outside of the Faux bubble.

Was the Hume interview before or after O’Reilly had Judith Miller on his show?
He would have had the perfect opportunity to attack the “press” since he was interviewing one of the most dishonest purveyors of recent times.
I saw the Miller interview and didn’t notice his “over-the-top” bravado he uses when talking about so-called Liberal “guttersnipes” he accuses of dishonesty.
I assume that’s because O’Reilly agreed with everything Judith Miller printed and likely used her articles as source material to bang the drums of war in Iraq as he did after the invasion of Afghanistan.
With O’Reilly’s journalistic acumen, I can’t wait for his hard hitting interview with Dick Morris about how horrible Hillary was to Morris 25 years ago.

Not only is he making traitorous remarks he seems to be really going off the rails.
If this Hume character had made a comment Bile’s head would have exploded ,which by the way I am waiting for to happen any day now.

“If I’m the president of the United States, I walk right into Union Square, I set up my little presidential podium, and I say, ‘Listen, citizens of San Francisco, if you vote against military recruiting, you’re not going to get another nickel in federal funds. Fine. You want to be your own country? Go right ahead. And if Al Qaeda comes in here and blows you up, we’re not going to do anything about it. We’re going to say, look, every other place in America is off limits to you, except San Francisco. You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead.’” — Bill O’Reilly, after San Francisco voted to ban military recruiters from city schools, Nov. 8, 2005

First, he calls for an attack on a major US city by a foreign terrorist organization — now, he admits he trusts a fundamentalist Muslim Middle Eastern nation more than he trusts his own countrymen.

I think its high time for BillO to be arrested, prosecuted, convicted, and incarcerated at Gitmo as a supporter of foreign terrorists and terrorist acts against the United States . . .

Me too if you include O’Reilly in the American press.
