Bill O’Reilly Clashes With Karl Rove Over Iraq Invasion And More

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on August 13, 2014 · Flag

Bill O’Reilly told Karl Rove that the Republican Party has a “very difficult dance” when it comes to foreign policy “because even though it’s a mess under President Obama and getting worse by the day and Iran coming up – and that’s just gonna be awful – the Republican Party’s foreign policy under Bush the younger, in Iraq and Afghanistan, now in hindsight looks awful.” Rove did not take it well.

Enjoy Rove’s discomfort in the video below, via Media Matters.

Hey John Swallow, since you’re so much smarter than me, how about telling us all the contributions the Republican party has made to make this country better in the last few years?

Thanks, Richard.

@ Steve St. John By the way, I forgot to add this to my last post: Here is a URL that shows the REAL characteristics of FASCISM, which is also known as NAZIISM:

From Steve St John’s comment:

“And BTW, since Fox is basically the propaganda wing of the Republican Party, Mr. Santalone’s comparison to the Nazis is valid. Not that Fox is as bad as the Nazis, but in both cases he was talking about propaganda. The Nazis spewed it, and so does Fox.

This is certainly a more valid comparison than Nazi analogies I’ve seen from the right."

Thank you Steve. Question: How much do you want to bet that rightwingers — especially John Swallow — DO NOT know the REAL DEFINITION of Naziism (i.e. fascism) ? How much do you want to bet that John Swallow and the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of rightwingers have been TOTALLY BRAINWASHED by Jonah Goldberg’s “Mein Kampf”-like book entitled “Liberal Fascism”? Here’s the reason I call “Liberal Fascism” a “Mein Kampf”-like book: it’s because, in my honest opinion, like the original “Mein Kampf” that was written by Adolf Hitler, “Liberal Fascism” is JAM-PACKED with rantings and ravings from a PERENNIALLY FRUSTRATED MADMAN! Mark my words: this stomach-turning and vomit-inducing collection of wild rants and raves is CHUCK-FULL OF LIES AND HALF-TRUTHS! Remember: half-truths are the equivalent of LIES, because as the ancient proverb says, IT’S NOT WHAT THEY SAY — IT’S WHAT THEY DON’T SAY!

From John Swallow’s comment:

“Richard Santalone: Thank you for your post that demonstrates the general demeanor and mind set of people who seem to hate Fox News.”

You’re VERY WELCOME John, because here is a 100% TOTALLY IRREFUTABLE FACT:

Like I said before, unlike TOTALLY BRAINWASHED people like YOU that simply DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT POSSESS ANY CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS WHATSOEVER, US FREE-THINKING PEOPLE DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT let others — especially Herr Goebbels II (i.e. Rupert Murdoch) and his always faithful, elephant-sized toady Jabba the Ailes’s (i.e. Roger Ailes, head of Fox Television Station Group) highly paid muppets — do our thinking for us. That’s the reason why us FREE-THINKING Americans usually rely on INDEPENDENTLY OWNED MEDIA OUTLETS like The Hightower Lowdown, The Nation magazine, The Progressive magazine and Mother Jones magazine for our news, because unlike today’s REPUBLICAN SYMPATHIZING, CORPORATE OWNED mainstream media outlets — especially Faux Spews Channel — these outlets DO NOT rely on TENS OF MILLIONS OF $’s in CORPORATE ADVERTISING $$$$ annually in order to survive.

Steve St John: If you are not bright enough to make the connection between your last statement and what I wrote then there is no point in any further discussion.

So, John Swallow, you’ve certainly fixated on the last sentence of what I wrote. Have anything to say about the rest of it?

Steve St John: Thank you for offering up a glimpse of people that you must admire or you would not have quoted Barney Frank. I’m sure that you are aware that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were in a large part the cause of the housing bubble collapsing that caused the 2008 financial dilemma that you far left types like to blame on the Republicans.
‘These two entities — Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — are not facing any kind of financial crisis,’’ said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. ‘’The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.’’
http://www.nytimes.com/2003/09/11/business/new-agency-proposed-to-oversee-freddie-mac-and-fannie-mae.html?pagewanted=all&src=pm

“In 1989 it was discovered that Barney Frank’s boyfriend, Stephen Gobie, whom Frank had once hired as a male prostitute, was running a male-brothel out of the Congressman’s home. Frank claimed he did not know about the prostitution ring in his home, but he did use the power of his office to “fix” 33 tickets for Gobie."

“First, James Ready nearly got his boyfriend, Massachusetts congressman Barney Frank, in deep doo-doo when he got arrested for growing and possessing marijuana — while Frank was in the house with him.”

Birds of a feather flock together; so, Steve St John, your heroes sure do not have be mine, nor will they ever be.

John Swallow. You’ve now told us twice of how popular Fox “News” is. That doesn’t make it correct. Maybe, just maybe, it’s because it tells it’s audience exactly what they want to hear, as Richard Santalone already mentioned.

And BTW, since Fox is basically the propaganda wing of the Republican Party, Mr. Santalone’s comparison to the Nazis is valid. Not that Fox is as bad as the Nazis, but in both cases he was talking about propaganda. The Nazis spewed it, and so does Fox.

This is certainly a more valid comparison than Nazi analogies I’ve seen from the right. For example, raising tax rates on the wealthy by a small percentage has been compared to the Holocaust. Obamacare has been compared, by Republican politicians, has been compared to tyranny. This is patently absurd.

The left is far from perfect, and I have issues with them on occasion, too. But there is a difference. I’ll leave you with a quote from Barney Frank that says it all: “we’re not perfect, but they’re nuts.”

Sandman2 : “FNC’s constant Obama bashing seems to have NO effect, whatsoever, on job growth, and that is good.”
Even you should get the point that you are not telling the full story here in your comfort zone. I do not believe that any of this information below will be on MSNBC.

“The number of persons living in poverty also worsened again in 2012, according to the most recent Census figures.[…] So for the second straight year, the poverty rate was 1.8 points higher than it was in 2008.”

“Food Stamps The number of people receiving food stamps continues at near-record levels.

WASHINGTON — After a full year of fruitless job hunting, Natasha Baebler just gave up. Until she feels confident enough to send out resumes again, she’ll get by on food stamps and disability checks from Social Security and live with her parents in St. Louis.

Richard Santalone: Thank you for your post that demonstrates the general demeanor and mind set of people who seem to hate Fox News. More latter because the “Five” is about to start.
And “The Five” at 5pmET saw continued success among all of cable, marking three straight months as the number one show among total viewers in the timeslot. http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/july-2014-ratings-fox-news-marks-151-straight-months-at-no-1_b233690

Richard Santalone commented : “…. because just like Adolf Hitler and his Nazis did in 1930s Germany, Faux Spews ALWAYS TELLS THEIR VIEWERSWHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR — NOT THE TRUTH!”

“Any off-topic mention of Hitler or Nazis will cause the thread it is mentioned in to come to an irrelevant and off-topic end very soon; every thread on Usenet has a constantly-increasing probability to contain such a mention.”
It is generally accepted that whoever is the first to play the “Hitler card” has lost the argument as well as any trace of respect, as having to resort to comparing your adversary to the most infamous mass-murdering dictator in history generally means you’ve run out of better arguments. Thus, once such a comparison is made, the thread is finished and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically lost whatever debate was in progress. This principle is itself frequently referred to as Godwin’s law.

Off topic, but, Pres. Obama just finished his 53rd consecutive month of private sector job growth. It’s strange that a so-called news organization that is obsessed with ratings has yet to mention this fantastic news? In fact, they’ve done everything they can to downplay the economy and job growth.
FNC’s constant Obama bashing seems to have NO effect, whatsoever, on job growth, and that is good.

“You people seem to have NO effect, whatsoever, on who watches what, and that is good.”

No John — that only proves this 100% IRREFUTABLE FACT:

THERE ARE STILL TENS OF MILLIONS OF EXTREMELY IGNORANT AND BRAINWASHED Americans out there (including YOU) who simply DO NOT POSSESS ANY CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS WHATSOEVER! You simply let others — especially the Faux Spews pundits do your thinking for you. Mark my words: that by far is the PRINCIPAL reason why Faux Spews Channel always posts high ratings, because just like Adolf Hitler and his Nazis did in 1930s Germany, Faux Spews ALWAYS TELLS THEIR VIEWERS WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR — NOT THE TRUTH!

Now I know why “the architect” was so agitated on Hannity tonight. Good for O’Reilly. It’s kind of annoying that he has flashes of sanity, unlike every other Fox “personality.” But he does have them, unless the subject is “blah” people, of course.

I would hate to have to make a choice between these two, because they’re both evil scumbags.

Dumbya and Dickhead Cheney’s endless, costly Muslim wars were a disaster. Turdblossom’s spin machine won’t change that fact.
