Ann Coulter Lectures African Americans To Support Republicans

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on September 25, 2012 · Flag

Ann Coulter visited the Hannity show last night where she cleverly denigrated African Americans and their interests by pretending to care about them. Sean Hannity – the guy who pals around with a slavery apologist – was all ears.

The racial discussion came at about 4:40 into the video below, after Coulter reprised her starring role on Fox News as a Middle East expert – again extolling the virtues of the Iraq War and lamenting the U.S. role in pushing out Kaddafi from Libya

Hannity said approvingly of her new book, “You decided to go after Democrats playing the race card, hard.” If there’s one thing Hannity loves, it’s playing the race card against Democrats and African Americans.

Coulter went into a long recitation of segregationist Democrats from years ago, as some kind of proof that Democrats are still racists - and as an unstated correlation, that Republicans are not. She went on to say, “Democrats are demagogues. They are always appealing to a mob, ginning people up with lies and anger.”

That’s pretty hilarious coming from a gal like Coulter, whose entire claim to fame (other than being investigated twice for voter fraud) is hate mongering. But the irony seemed to be lost on Hannity.

Coulter continued,

“Whites being bullied by racism by white liberals… who ought to be guilty about something, has never led to anything good… Because of the O.J. verdict… we got Giuliani which has saved tens of thousands of black lives. By enforcing criminal laws, by going after criminals despite being called a racist throughout his tenure. White guilt has produced mistake after mistake, including the 2008 election when more whites voted for Obama than have voted for a Democrat for decades.”

Notice the sleight of hand here. Coulter complains about white liberal bullying (thereby avoiding saying anything about blacks and race) and then throws support to policies that African Americans object to – under cover of the fact that it saved their lives. As if they were too stupid to notice such a thing for themselves. Or, more importantly, as if there were no alternative method of fighting crime that was both effective and non-discriminatory. The same scorn is implied in the vote for President Obama who also received huge support from African Americans in 2008.

But wait, there’s more. Coulter, apparently confident she had established her racial bona fides called Willie Horton “the greatest political ad in U.S. history.” Who cares that the ad deliberately played to racial fears and animosity? Certainly not Coulter nor Hannity.

You see, Coulter really, really cares about blacks being better off, whether they know it or not:

What we’ve learned is, everyone – blacks especially – are better off when the white guilt bank is shut down as it was for more than a decade after the O.J. verdict… For a dozen years (after the verdict), we had paradise. Suddenly, people weren’t walking on eggshells. You could have Giuliani enforcing sane criminal laws in New York without - and not caring… that he was constantly being called racist… and look what it did to New York. It transformed the city and it saved… tens of thousands of black lives.

See, not only are blacks better off with policies that offend them but white Republicans shouldn't even concern themselves with offending African Americans because it's all for their own good.

I have to wonder what kind of drugs Coulter’s using if it thinks that African-Americans would respond favorably to the idea that the Willie Horton ad was “the greatest political ad in U.S. history” when it did play on, as you note Ellen, racial fears—specifically, that “black men who get out of jail will kill more white people.”

Maybe Ann’s memory doesn’t extend more than the last bathroom quickie it was involved in, but I do recall WHY the Horton ad was developed. Not merely to be a “Democrats (in this case, Dukakis) are weak/soft on crime” ad, but to highlight that it was a BLACK man who’d been released.

African-Americans who would appreciate the Horton ad being considered “the greatest political ad in U.S. history" are ashamed of being African-American (a bit like Clarence Thomas, Herman Cain and Allen West—of course, mainstream African-Americans are ashamed of those men’s being African-American as well, so all’s good).

@Football Fan22: 2008 redux. Back then, she said if McCain were the nominee, she’d vote for Hillary Clinton . . .

In the Fux Nation, it takes a white hermaphrodite to know what’s best for African Americans.

Well, now — this is reminiscent of Ann Romney’s lecture of Latino Americans:

“You’d better really look at your future and figure out who’s going to be the guy that’s going to make it better for you and your children, and there is only one answer.

“It really is a message that would resonate well if they could just get past some of their biases that have been there from the Democratic machines that have made us look like we don’t care about this community.

You’ve gotta love it when WASPs such as Crazy Annie and Queen Marie Anntoinette demostrate such CONCERN for black and brown-skinned Americans . . .
