Fox’s Bob Beckel went on another ethnic rant on The Five yesterday. His target this time was the Chinese. We’ve previously noted Beckel’s Islamophobia and his animosity toward the Chinese. But this time, he used an explicitly ethnic slur in his attack.

As the network for persecuted Christians, Fox News has elevated the Duck Dynasty clan and the Benham brothers to a special category of Fox sainthood. But while Duck Dynasty returned to the airwaves after patriarch Phil Robertson's homophobic comments, the HGTV door closed permanently on the Benham boyz after word of theirs got out. Naturally, in whitewashing their homophobic, anti-choice, and anti-Muslim views, Fox has provided sweet succor for the nice, Christian guys who were being persecuted for their Christian faith which teaches, as everybody knows, that God hates fags. As part of the requisite Fox validation, Fox created the narrative that the Benham brothers were being targeted, by gay bullies, for their deeply held Christian values. Yesterday, the boyz were back in Fox town for more Christian fellowship and not so cleverly concealed gay bashing.

Sean Hannity and Rick Perry teamed up to fear monger about the immigration crisis last night. With all the same “evidence” Perry put forth when he asserted that Obama is somehow “in on” the immigration crisis at the border – which is to say none – Perry now opined that Islamic terrorists are being smuggled into the country. Or on their way. Or something.

Megyn Kelly turned to the discredited, no-smear-is-too-ridiculous Ben Shapiro tonight in a deliberate attempt to use the Israeli/Palestinian conflict to attack President Obama. Sure enough, he complied. In spades. UPDATED

On yesterday’s Your World, guest Joe Grano, Vietnam veteran and CEO of both Premier Alliance and Centurion Holdings, talked about what should happen at the VA. A banner on the lower third of the screen read, “VIETNAM VET AND FMR UBS CEO JOE GRANO: LET NEW SECRETARYY CLEAN HOUSE AT THE VA.”

Megyn Kelly made a show of concern about the outbreak of violence in Chicago over the July 4^th weekend last night. But it was almost immediately evident that the only real “coverage” of the tragedy lay in using it as a platform for Fox contributor Allen West to attack gun control, “liberal progressives of the Democrat Party, teachers unions, the media, black families, welfare, welfare queens and Lyndon Johnson. Among others.

Bill O’Reilly offered up his solution for the immigration crisis on the border last night. And guess what? A big chunk of O’Reilly’s comprehensive solution – which he promised would solve the whole problem in a week – was his boycott.

The "fair & balanced" Fox News has been unabashed and unapologetic in its support for the Catholic Church's opposition to the ACA's birth control mandate. As part of this support, Fox has provided full validation for the lawsuit filed by the Little Sisters of the Poor who object to signing the waiver which exempts them from having to provide coverage. But for Fox and the lawyers for the Little Sisters, the requirement to sign a waiver (which God doesn't want them to sign) is an example of  how, wait for it, Pres. Obama "hates" the nuns who are on, wait for it, Obama's "enemies list." Megyn Kelly, in particular, has launched her own almost hysterical crusade on behalf of the nuns whose cause is, according to Kelly, "on the side of the angels" because they help all those poor people that Fox routinely bashes as scum. Last night, Megyn Kelly, who claims she's "not one of the [Fox] opinion hosts," made her biased and bogus opinion abundantly clear!

Fox guest Jonah Goldberg dismissed comparisons of the border crisis to Hurricane Katrina yesterday. Not because Katrina was so much more devastating to so many more people. No, because Goldberg wanted to argue that the immigration matter is “worse than Katrina.”
