Despite polling that shows Americans overwhelmingly blame Donald Trump and the Republicans for any government shutdown that may occur tonight, Fox News has adopted the same language as its Dear Leader in a desperate effort to blame Democrats instead.

Tucker Carlson and his pal Mark Steyn suggested that white supremacists are more decent than undocumented immigrants. Oh, and by the way, Mexican immigrants (legal or not) have destroyed Arizona.

Carl Higbie resigned from the Trump administration today after CNN’s KFile found a trove of racist, sexist, anti-Muslim and anti-LGBT comments made by him on the radio. But this is the same Carl Higbie who, while appearing on Fox News prime time in 2016, advocated setting up a Muslim registry and cited Japanese internment camps as legal precedent.

Fox News contributor and former Trump aide Sebastian Gorka is wanted by the police in Hungary. The arrest warrant was in effect while Gorka was working in the White House.

You don’t need to be a professional NewsHound to have guessed that Fox News would attack Sen. Jeff Flake over his blistering criticism of Donald Trump’s assault on the media. It was a bit of a surprise to hear supposedly objective Howard Kurtz regurgitate Republican attack lines, however.

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) gave a powerful speech on the floor of the U.S. Senate today all but saying outright that Donald Trump’s assaults on the truth and the press are despotic threats to our democracy. Left unsaid, but perhaps just as significant, is Fox News’ aiding and abetting of the despotism.

Last week, Fox was full of outrageous excuses for Donald Trump’s “s**thole countries” remark. But U.S. Senate candidate Joe Arpaio found a way to compete with outrageousness of his own. And that’s not all the outrageousness worthy of inclusion in this week’s poll. But first, let’s give a loud raspberry to Pastor Robert Jeffress, winner of last week’s poll, for his smear of evangelicals who don’t support Trump.
