Judge Jeanine Pirro Demands We Shred The Constitution Over Boston Bombing
If you’ve been following the news lately, you know that the mother of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, is now being accused of having radicalized her son(s). Even Fox News admits that she’s only a person of interest at this point - on their site, at least. But to one Fox News host – a former judge, no less – Tsarnaeva is not only guilty (before she’s even been charged) but should be stripped of her citizenship and sent to Guantanamo Bay prison.

There is an ongoing debate about whether "political correctness" promotes sensitivity about racial and gender issues or stifles free exchange of ideas. But there is no debate that Fox & Friends hates it because, I guess, it prevents them from really expressing their bigoted, right wing views which they still manage to communicate, political correctness notwithstanding. The last time that Fox & Friends discussed the evils of political correctness was when they interviewed a potty mouthed, dirty old Santa Claus impersonator. This morning, they brought on the right wing, Republican actor Robert Davi who proffered his view that political correctness is squelching our free speech and that things were so much better in the good old days of racial slurs, ethnic jokes, and fine family entertainment like "Amos & Andy," a show with African-American actors who played to black stereotypes. He was validated by Brian Kilmeade who wants the freedom to call women, "sweet broads." Yeah, you read it right!

Apparently, Jon Stewart’s devastating take down of Fox Newsies salivating to shred Constitutional rights struck a nerve with both Eric Bolling and Bob Beckel, each of whom had a featured role. On Friday’s The Five, Bolling said, ““Hey, Jonny-boy, pull up a chair right here between Bob and me and let’s debate this thing. Come on. You got the cojones?”

During this week's hate fest, Fox directed most of its most of its toxic spew towards Islam and Muslims in general. But they reserved some venom for some very specific Muslims; i.e. the parents of the alleged Boston bombers and the wife of the deceased suspect. And in so doing, they were able to hit on another right wing bête noire; i.e. "welfare" - a word that elicits fear and loathing amongst the white, racist pitchfork crowd as it conjures up images of those dark skinned moochers, criminals, and Obama voters that Bill O'Reilly has warned us about. Once it was disclosed that the Tsarnaev family received some forms of welfare, alleged "news" anchor Megyn Kelly expressed her patented "outrage" over whether "we" paid for that bomb. But funny, when it was revealed that right wing darling, "Joe the Plumber" received welfare, Kelly was outraged about the leak of confidential information. "Fair & Balanced" or double standard?

Stephen Colbert got in some of his brilliant zingers at Fox & Friends a few nights ago – and who could be more deserving of ridicule? Colbert caught the Curvy Couch Crew not just regurgitating the same talking points, but the exact same cliché, “singing like a canary,” which was their phrase to describe what Boston bomb suspect Dhzokhar Tsarnaev was supposedly doing until, as Colbert put it, “our secret Chechen president” “screwed the whole thing up” by advising Tsarnaev of his Miranda rights.

The day after the Boston bombing, former Democratic congressman Barney Frank expressed the belief that budget cuts make emergency response, such as that seen in Boston, more difficult. Seems like a pretty rational statement of fact but this comment sent Bill O'Reilly even further over the edge to which he is precariously clinging. As News Hounds Ellen reported, O'Reilly wasted no time in attacking Frank for having "politicized" the Boston bombing. But in the interests of "fair & balanced," O'Reilly brought Frank on The Factor so he could defend his position or, as noted on Fox News Insider, "take Barney Frank to task." And in so doing, O'Reilly scolded Frank about not waiting longer before making a political statement. But funny, O'Reilly didn't apply the same standard to a Republican sitting member of congress who did just what O'Reilly accused Frank of doing! What????

All week, Senator Rand Paul has been trying to take his foot out of his mouth over apparently contradictory remarks he made to Neil Cavuto about the use of drones. On Thursday night Sean Hannity was happy to give the Kentucky Republican and serious 2016 Presidential contender a helping hand, bringing him onto the show to explain that he hadn’t changed his position at all. Which he did, though in a rather confusing manner, adding that the controversy was manufactured by “left-wing blogs”.
Read moreChristian Jihadist Todd Starnes Uses "Baby Killers" To Describe Planned Parenthood
Much of the recent Fox News rhetoric has focused the radicalization of Tamerlin Tsarnaev who accessed incendiary jihadist websites and videos which probably trafficked in the "death to America" sort of thing. Yet, Fox News fundamentalist homophobe and ace culture clubber Todd Starnes, who refers to the Tsarnaevs' as jihadists, sent out several recent tweets which used the incendiary term "baby killers" to describe Planned Parenthood, an organization that provides a range of health care to low income women. So if one can make the argument that radical jihadist websites could contribute to homicidal ideation on the part of those who seek a scapegoat for their hatred, can we also say that the term "baby" killers could do the same - especially given the record of violence against abortion clinics and doctors? Bill O'Reilly constantly vilified Dr. Tiller and we know how that ended?!

A few nights ago, Greta Van Susteren announced that the Senate had passed a bill ending furloughs for air traffic controllers. But in case anyone thought they should let up on hateration for President Obama, she quickly moved on to say that the office implementing Obamacare. “apparently has immunity” from them. She added, “That’s right, no furloughs for Obamacare workers.” So rather than explore why the Obama administration thinks that implementing a national medical insurance plan might be more urgent than avoiding flight delays, she brought on a Republican Congressman who threw unsupported accusations that the Obama administration is deliberately trying to harm Americans. Van Susteren let those accusations go without challenge.
