Fox News Being Sued For Airing Suicide
You may recall that last fall, after following a car chase live, without delay, Studio B aired the live suicide of the fleer. The dead man’s family is now suing Fox for their traumatization.

President Obama gave a speech this morning (U.S. time) at the Brandenburg gate in Berlin. But Fox, in a show of preference if ever there was one, cut away in the middle. Why? To discuss a Tea Party protest.

James O’Keefe is back with a new suspiciously-edited video designed to do for Lifeline phone recipients what he did for ACORN: i.e. tarnish the entire program with a few questionable smears. By the time ACORN was absolved of wrongdoing, it was too late. In the interim, O’Keefe has wracked up quite a record of ill-repute, including a $100,000 payment to a former ACORN worker smeared in one of O’Keefe’s “sting” videos, an arrest record and a planned sexual “prank” against a female CNN reporter. Oh, yeah, and a Power Player of the Week recognition by Fox News. But most of that was not mentioned on The O’Reilly Factor last night as O’Keefe was welcomed as a credible documentarian with a credible exposé of the Lifeline program.
Read moreBill O'Reilly Twists African-American Professor's Comments To Accuse Her Of 'Racial Hatred'
Bill O'Reilly obviously feels that he is entitled to his own opinions which frequently take the form of offensive race baiting. Such was the case two weeks ago when he blamed minorities for violence in schools and elsewhere. But he takes umbrage when others express opinions with which he disagrees. On this week-end's Melissa Harris-Perry show, there was a panel discussion about the onslaught of anti-choice legislation being pushed by the GOP, including the House ban on late term abortion. An African-American female professor expressed her opinion of why this is happening and O'Reilly isn't happy about what she said. So rather than actually discussing her thought provoking views, he did what he always does - he attacked her by totally twisting her statement, out of context, in order to show that she is a racist and interject his latest favorite topic, late term abortion which wasn't, as claimed by O'Reilly, what was being discussed. Forget being hypocritical. Can we say delusional.

News Hounds' Brian has written many times about Bulls & Bears' Tobin Smith - a reliable conservative mouthpiece if ever there was one. It turns out that mouth was for hire. He was fired from Fox today as a result. UPDATED

The Daily Show offered its comedic insights into Sarah Palin's return to Fox News yesterday - and I'm happy to report that included poaching my headline, that Palin quit her quitting. Host John Oliver quipped that her childish commentary sounded like a Dr. Seuss book, "Oh, The Places You'll Leave." He later said, "Oh, Sara, if only it was as easy for us to quit you as it is for you to quit everything."
Read moreO’Reilly Promotes Unsubstantiated Conspiracy Theory Linking IRS Controversy To The White House
There may be no evidence linking the Obama White House to the IRS controversies, but that didn’t stop Bill O’Reilly last night from teaming up with Republican Trey Gowdy to suggest one anyway. For good measure, he gratuitously tied the matter to Benghazi (just like Neil Cavuto did) and the NSA controversy.

Angelina Jolie's stunt double is suing News Corporation for hacking into her phone while she was living in Los Angeles in 2004 and 2005. If her allegations prove true, this will be the first known instance of News Corp. phone hacking in the United States. The London newspaper, The Independent, reports that this is the first of what will be six U.S. suits against the media empire.
Read moreHannity: I Am Not An NSA Hypocrite
Media Matters’ recent mashup video of Sean Hannity’s NSA hypocrisy must have struck a chord. Tonight, Hannity called on Rep. James Sensenbrenner, author of the PATRIOT Act, to thread the needle for him and argue that George W. Bush’s NSA data mining without a FISA court approval was legal whereas President Obama’s data mining with FISA court approval is not. Therefore, according to Hannity and his upside-down thinking, his belligerent attacks on those who did not support Bush's NSA data mining and his belligerent attacks on President Obama's data mining were both principled stances. Right.
Read moreFox’s Gregg Jarrett Calls Trayvon Martin ‘The Alleged Victim’
Fox News for the defense of George Zimmerman again! Today, Fox News’ Gregg Jarrett worked in some sly demonization of Trayvon Martin by “just pointing out” all the potentially damaging-to-Martin information Zimmerman’s defense team could work in if the prosecution makes the unarmed teenager too likeable. Then, after cataloging Martin’s flaws, Jarrett concluded the segment by calling Martin “the alleged victim,” with obvious distaste. Apparently, on Fox News, the real victim is Zimmerman - and they don't need no stinking trial to determine guilt or innocence.
