Eric Bolling is a testosterone filled man's man who laments the "wussification" of America. As such, he seems to think that it's just fine and dandy for school teachers to administer severe beatings on students who misbehave, just like his Catholic school teachers did when he was a student at Chicago's Loyola Academy. During a recent edition of "The Five," Eric Bolling, for the second time on The Five, proudly described a high school incident where he was assaulted by a gym teacher.  What makes it even worse is that in the most recent telling of this story, he said that if he were asked, he would allow his son's teachers to paddle the boy. Just when you think that Eric Bolling couldn't get any more vile....

We had a banner week of mail from people who thought we were Fox News this week, especially from The Five and Kelly File watchers. Many comments were about the Affordable Care Act ("ObamaCare"). That's not too surprising since fulminating against a program that makes affordable health insurance available for all seems to be Fox's only interest these days. Congratulations to Ann Coulter. Her treasonous adoration of Ted Cruz' "magnificent" GOP shutdown of the U.S. government was not just childishly loathsome, it catapulted her to the top of the heap of loathsomeness, otherwise known as The Most Outrageous Quote of the Week.

In addition to being a poster child for white privilege and a famous "dick," Tucker Carlson is also an exemplar of Christian right wing homophobia. He has even bragged about assaulting a gay man. But his negative views about the LGBT community and LGBT civil rights are not a problem for Roger Ailes who provides a pulpit for Carlson's homophobia. In 2010, Carlson combined the patented Fox persecuted Christian meme with an attack on Harry Knox, an openly gay man who was appointed, by Pres. Obama, to serve on the Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnership Program. Carlson said that the lifting of DADT was a "joke." Recently, Tucker, who hates the Episcopal Church because it accepts gay marriage, claimed that the media treats gays better than Christians. And recently, in attacking Media Matters David Brock, the oh, so witty Carlson employed a gay stereotype and, in so doing, reminded us of why he is such a dick.

Why did Fox Nation choose to showcase a video about a distraught young woman shouting at, then macing and punching a local news crew from Washington, D.C. when they refused to move away from the (public) sidewalk outside her home? Normally, Fox Nation focuses on attacking President Obama and Democrats politics. Well, even if it wasn't because the woman is African American, the Fox Nation readers sure appreciated the opportunity to let loose with a disgusting stream of racist comments. Fox has been loving on Jon Stewart’s mocking of Obamacare and citing it as “proof” that President Obama and the Affordable Care Act have “lost” young people. But Stewart an The Daily Show had something to say - and sing - about that!

Ed Schultz slammed Sean Hannity hard today. Schultz called Hannity the "king of cheap shots," called out the media in general for focusing on the problems of the Obamacare rollout rather than its promise and focused on Hannity, in particular, for defending "junk insurance policies" that don't "cover snot" in his zeal to malign the Affordable Care Act. Schultz also challenged Hannity to a debate and dared him to "prove me wrong."

Fox News’ crackpot psychiatrist, Dr. Keith Ablow, visited the Fox Business Network yesterday where he offered up yet another over-the-top psychoanalysis of President Obama that winds up making Ablow look like the one who needs treatment. Yesterday’s message, on Varney & Co., warned parents of the urgent need to “immunize” their kids from the “very negative psychological message” being sent to them by Obama.

In case you missed it, conservative Bill Kristol is no longer an official Fox News contributor. That happened last summer. But today, Politico's Dylan Byers has an intriguing report about a falling out between Kristol and Fox News chief Roger Ailes due to Kristol's failure to badmouth someone Ailes wanted badmouthed.

Bill O'Reilly's bizarre thought process is vividly displayed in his contention that because Christmas is a federal holiday, governmental agencies are obligated to promote the Christian aspect of the day which, Bill O'Reilly notwithstanding, is a secular holiday that, Bill O'Reilly notwithstanding, did not become a major American holiday until the 19th century. Any attempts, by schools or other agencies of government, to exclude Jesus from holiday celebrations are seem as outright heresy by America's culture war inquisitor-in-chief. Last night, O'Reilly, assisted by Megyn Kelly, aimed his merry Christmas vitriol towards a New Jersey school district which is not performing religious songs at winter concerts. And in addition to attacking the school superintendent, O'Reilly issued a thinly veiled threat to make her life miserable. When it comes to Christmas, Bill O'Reilly just embodies the spirit of peace and joy!
