Bill O'Reilly Thinks Atheists Are Ruining Christmas?
Despite the court decision which ruled that the city of Santa Monica is within it's rights to no longer host a holiday display that includes a Nativity scene, the baby Jesus must be very happy with Fox News. Yesterday, what Peter Johnson Jr. described as the "first salvo in the War on Christmas" was discussed on Fox & Friends and the alleged Fox "news" show, Happening Now during which Jon Scott whined about evil atheists trying to "squelch holiday fun." Not to be outdone, decorated general in the War on Christmas, Bill O'Reilly got on board with some atheist bashing during the "Rolling with Carolla" segment on the Factor. God bless ye merry gentlemen?
Read moreAfter Offending Republicans, Chris Christie Calls Rupert Murdoch For Rehab
There's an interesting article in yesterday's New York Times about Republican backlash against NJ Governor Chris Christie for putting concerns for his state over his party. But what most striking were the lede paragraphs in which Christie calls "king maker" Rupert Murdoch as a crucial part of his political recovery work.

In addition to providing a national platform for his "contemptuous" and "contemptible" world view, O'Reilly has no problem providing his guests with a platform for their truly disgusting views. Such seems to be the case with "comedian" Adam Carolla who now has a weekly Factor segment during which he spews some really hateful stuff such as when he compared the HHS birth control policy to getting free beer. But last night, during his vile smear of Native Americans and Victoria's Secret models, he really went over the edge while Bill (and his production crew) laughed uproariously and showed lots of Victoria's Secret footage which, for Bill and his male audience, is about as good as it gets, if you catch my drift.

Last week, Jon Stewart skewered Bill O’Reilly’s and Mitt Romney’s attacks on Obama voters and especially lampooned O’Reilly’s “end of traditional America” comments on the night of the election. Although ultimately Stewart’s ridiculing was laced with kindness, it concluded with a hilariously ridiculous graphic of O’Reilly in a headdress. That must have hurt O’Reilly’s tender feelings – already smarting from a scathing Washington Post editorial. So despite having defended his comments earlier in the show, he rallied to his own defense again later, in the Reality Check, segment – this time hitting back at “obtuse” Stewart and the “pinheads” at Comedy Central.

The bogus Fox News War on Christmas is not being fought just in the trenches of Fox News "opinion," but in the alleged fair & balanced trenches of their "real journalism." Yesterday, Fox & Friends, the morning happy-talk show that Ailes uses as one of his primary vehicles to inject his venom into the media bloodstream," injected some of Fox's annual War on Christmas venom into the Fox bloodstream where it circulated over to "Happening Now" which is part of Fox's official "news" line up; and, as such, is, supposedly, subject to the Fox oxymoronic slogan and logo, "Fox News, Fair & Balanced." But alleged "news" anchor, Jon Scott, was hardly a dispassionate journalist in his moderation of a discussion about nasty atheists who, in Foxworld, have put an end to the city sponsored Nativity in Santa Monica. But given that Roger Ailes fears, along with Muslims and gays, secularism, it's no surprise that the War on Christmas is a proxy war for Fox News' war on atheism.
Read moreO’Reilly: How Dare Anyone Find My Comments About People Of Color ‘Wanting Stuff’ Offensive?
Although many Republicans are abandoning Mitt Romney over his ‘gifts’ comments, Bill O’Reilly is doubling and tripling down on them. And he’s darned angry that anyone, ANYONE might think he’s a racist or anti-poor just because he said that people who voted for President Obama were people of color who “want stuff.”
Read moreFox News' Divisive Poll Question
Fox Nation's poll (right side of the page) asking "Who will cave before fiscal cliff?" is exactly what is wrong with Washington these days. Rather than each side giving ground in the interest of progress, we have Fox essentially advocating for obstructionism over progress. Sure, neither side wants to lose more than they gain, but problems cannot be solved the same way six-year old children solve them---by foot-stamping.
Read moreMegyn Kelly Lets Peter King Change His Benghazi Story
Fox News’ “Ethics in Journalism” hit what may be a new low Friday (11/16/12) when Megyn Kelly was so busy eating up Rep. Peter King’s claim that Benghazi memos were altered in a cover up, that she forgot to ask him why he had already provided a much different story to reporters elsewhere.

Along with covering the real conflict in the Middle East, Fox News also provides full coverage for the bogus "War on Christmas." This so called "war" is an annual holiday (ewww, I said a bad word) Fox News feature that advances the Fox patented whine about how evil atheists are just trying to ruin things for godly Christians. So it wasn't a surprise to hear Roger Ailes' personal attorney, litigator for the NY Catholic arch-diocese, Maltese Knight, and Fox "friend" Peter Johnson Jr. (whose names are euphemisms for penis) sadly proclaim, to his fellow Christian/Christmas warrior Steve Doocy, that the first shot in this non-existent war has been fired. While the reality based community has more to think about than supposed insults to the Baby Jesus, for Fox News it's a BFD!!!
Read moreJon Stewart Skewers Fox News' Vilification Of Single Female Obama Voters
In their desperation to blame Mitt Romney's election loss on anybody but Mitt Romney, Fox News targeted the single ladies who voted for Obama because, according to Fox wisdom, these women only care about free birth control. Some of their pundits even went so far as to say that married women voted Republican because they are so much more responsible than those irresponsible slutty sluts who supported the president. Watch Jon Stewart and Kristen Schall talk vaginas!
